AMES, Iowa – Iowa State’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee and Cyclone student-athletes are holding a “Can the Cats” food drive Saturday before the Kansas State at Iowa State football game. Iowa State student-athletes will be collecting donations before the game from the paved parking lots around Jack Trice Stadium, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Student-athletes will be pushing shopping carts that have been provided by Hy-Vee. The game between the No. 25 Cyclones and No. 5 Wildcats kicks off at 11 a.m.

“Can the Cats” is being held in conjunction with the Food Bank of Iowa, which will be the recipient of the donations.  Food Bank of Iowa distributes food to 425 partner organizations in 55 Iowa counties.
