NIACC removes interim tag from soccer coach Platt

MASON CITY, Iowa – The NIACC Athletic Department has named interim head soccer coach Jonathan Platt as the next head coach for NIACC soccer.

Platt was named interim head coach for the spring semester after Mike Regan left the NIACC program in March to coach at Drake University.  Platt was an assistant coach under Regan at NIACC for three seasons.

“Coach Platt has done a tremendous job of laying the groundwork for the next chapter of NIACC Soccer,” NIACC Athletic Director Dan Mason said. “We are excited about the work that Coach Platt has done on the recruiting trail and we anticipate welcoming around 18 young men to our campus in early August for preseason training camp.”

NIACC reached the Region XI Championship match last fall and finished ranked No. 12 in the NJCAA with a 17-3-1 record.
