Sex Offender Released From Oakdale Prison Placed at Beje Clark

The Iowa Sex Offender Registry shows that on Saturday, September 24th, Jason Rammelsberg was moved from Iowa’s Oakdale Prison to Beje Clark a residential treatment facility located at 818 15th Street SW in Mason City.

Rammelsberg had been in prison for probation violations on his deferred judgment for sexual exploitation of a minor a class D felony.

Jason Rammelsberg was arrested following a criminal complaint by Mason City Police Department on February 10th, 2009.

Through a plea bargain in Cerro Gordo County District Court Rammelsberg received a deferred judgment July 27th, 2009. The judgment handed down by Judge James Drew included 180 days in a residential treatment facility and five years of probation with the Iowa Department of Corrections.

On October 27th, 2009 Jason Rammelsberg was charged with a probation violation, which resulted in a 60 day county jail sentence in Cerro Gordo County District Court by Judge Colleen Weiland.

On January 28th, 2010 Jason Rammelsberg was charged a second time with violation of probation. As a result of the second probation violation on April 19th, 2010 Iowa District Court Judge James Drew sentenced him to up to five years in prison and to complete the state sex offender program.

After serving seventeen months in Oakdale, Jason Rammelsberg has been paroled and sent to Beje Clark until maximum benefits of the residential treatment program are achieved. Part of the program includes; allowing residence to find employment in the community and in some cases weekend passes called furloughs while they complete their treatment.
