Felony criminal mischief charge against Mason City man accused of vandalizing gaming machine at casino dropped by county attorney

NORTHWOOD – A felony criminal mischief charge against a Mason City accused of vandalizing a gaming machine at a local casino has been dropped by the county attorney.

At approximately 2:15  AM on January 27, 2018 the Worth county Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Diamond Jo Casino to report vandalism. A Worth County Deputy arrived on scene and took a report and viewed damage done to a gaming machine. Upon further investigation, Dion King of Mason City was arrested and charged with 2nd degree criminal mischief, a Class D felony.

King was booked into the Worth County Jail.

However, just days later, Worth county attorney Jeff Greve dropped the charge against King, records show.
