  1. BREAKING: House Judiciary Dems outwit Trump and release Jack Smith’s congressional deposition with DAMNING evidence of Trump’s criminal acts!
Blindsiding everyone, the 255-page transcript of Jack Smith’s testimony to Congress about his investigation into Donald Trump’s plot to steal the 2020 election hit the internet on New Year’s Eve, and it quickly became clear why Republicans fought so hard to keep it under wraps.
Smith testified that “Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 election and to prevent the lawful transfer of power.”
“Our investigation also developed powerful evidence that showed that President Trump willfully retained highly classified documents after he left office in January of 2021, storing them at his social club, including in a ballroom and a bathroom. He then repeatedly tried to obstruct justice to conceal his continued retention of those documents.”
Smith debunked the right-wing conspiracies about his investigation, swearing under oath that President Biden never gave him any instructions about the investigation and never even spoke to Biden about the investigation.
Most importantly of all, Smith demolished the fake narrative that Trump and his cronies have been pushing about what REALLY happened on January 6th…and pointed the finger squarely at Trump.
“January 6th was an attack on the structure of our democracy in which over 140 heroic law enforcement officers were assaulted. Over 160 individuals later pled guilty to assaulting police that day. Exploiting that violence, President Trump and his associates tried to call Members of Congress in furtherance of their criminal scheme, urging them to further delay certification of the 2020 election. I did not choose those Members, President Trump did”
“Pres. Trump was by a large measure the most culpable and most responsible person in this conspiracy. These crimes were committed for his benefit. The attack that happened at the Capitol, part of this case, does not happen without him.”
The fact that Donald Trump is President and not behind bars right now is one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in history.

      1. You keep telling us that President Biden is guilty of all these things trump does so you must be saying trump is a criminal and needs to be prosecuted. It is about time you made that connection.

  2. UH OH: One of the top MAGA conservative accounts just DUMPED Trump, and APOLOGIZED to sane Americans. ENJOY: “You did try to warn us about Trump. You screamed and yelled from the mountaintops that he was not what he presented himself to be, and I, like many, refused to listen. I mocked you. I laughed at you when he won. I felt entitled to his victory because I dedicated eight years of my life to his campaign. My eyes are now open. This is not the man I voted for.
    When I’m wrong, I say I’m wrong. I am sorry. I apologize.”

  3. Merry Xmas Larry
Over a million more potential Jeffrey Epstein documents have been handed over to the Department of Justice for review and possible release, the DOJ said.

The stunning announcement of a new trove — at mid-afternoon on Christmas Eve — comes as the DOJ has been releasing thousands of Epstein documents, often heavily redacted, and some of which involve President Trump

  4. trump isn’t going to be happy until every news network kisses his butt every time they report the news. He will threaten them with lawsuits (paid for by taxpayers) against them that will drag on in the courts until it costs the networks millions of dollars in legal fees even if they win the lawsuit.

        1. No lawsuits, just bogus charges. Isn’t that how the commies did it. Show me a person and l will make up a charge.

          1. You are correct. That is what trump is doing. And the charges are all getting thrown out. See Letita James and Jack Smith.

            1. That was assbackwards there Larry. Charges were up front on two criminals who have judges in their favor. Claiming residency in two locations for better rates from the bank? Jack says ( nothing was political ) about the charges. Then why were they dropped?

              1. Business people often claim one residence over another for tax purposes. Of course, those are the people who own two or more houses which puts most of the US population on the other side. Besides, the judge ruled on the evidence. As for Smith, where have you been? The charges were dropped because trump was elected President not because they were not valid. A sitting president cannot be charged with a crime until he is out of office so we will see how you feel when trump is not President. Besides, his Epstein ties should put him in prison for the rest of his life just like all pedophiles in those files should be.

                  1. In 2029 I will be celebrating the election of a new person for President of the United States. If you think the courts and the Republicans are going to allow him to run for a third term, you are really full of TDS.

                    1. There goes your TDS again, he has no intention for a 3rd term, just trolling you naysayers, living rent free in your heads, like Rosie Potato Head

                    2. I think most Dems would love to see him try to run for a third term because they know he would get shut down again.

                    3. Harris is legally allowed to run. I don’t think she would be the choice of Democrats, but it would be legal. Trump is going to jail as soon as he is no longer President. Maybe he will save a bed for you in prison.

  5. Sunday night, “60 Minutes” was scheduled to run a segment sharing the stories of Venezuelan men deported by the Trump administration to what the program called a “brutal” prison in El Salvador.
    It never aired.
The segment was pulled three hours before the broadcast — a highly unusual last-minute change — after Bari Weiss, the new right-wing editor in chief of CBS News, requested numerous changes to the segment.
CBS News said in a statement that the segment would air at a later date and “needed additional reporting.”
But Sharyn Alfonsi, the veteran “60 Minutes” correspondent who reported the segment, rejected that criticism in a private note to CBS colleagues, in which she accused CBS News of pulling the segment for “political” reasons.
“Our story was screened five times and cleared by both CBS attorneys and Standards and Practices,” Ms. Alfonsi wrote in the note, a copy of which was obtained by The New York Times. “It is factually correct. In my view, pulling it now, after every rigorous internal check has been met, is not an editorial decision, it is a political one.”

      1. The prinicipals trump, noem, miller and homan refused to comment on the story. They are the top dogs and because they weren’t included, Weiss pulled it. It is called government censorship. They are trying to make sure nothing negative is reported by refusing to defend their actions and then claiming it is a biased report. Bullshit is what it is.

  6. The Minnesota Department of Human Services employee account on X — representing more than 480 current state workers — didn’t mince words.

“Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud in Minnesota,” they wrote. “We let Tim Walz know of fraud early on, hoping for a partnership in stopping fraud but no, we got the opposite response. Tim Walz systematically retaliated against whistleblowers using monitoring, threats, repression, and did his best to discredit fraud reports.”

Internal DHS employees claim Walz’s appointees “willfully disregarded rules and laws to keep fraud reports quiet” and threatened whistleblowers’ families.

  7. The USPS update will see prices rise 6.6 percent for Priority Mail service, 5.1 percent for Priority Mail Express service, 7.8 percent for USPS Ground Advantage and 6.0 percent for Parcel Select.

The new rates were selected to keep the Postal Service competitive while providing the organization with needed revenue, according to the USPS.
    Raise rates to be competitive?

  8. Republicans Sell Out Iowa Farmers
Trump had two big promises for farmers this year and, unfortunately, both of them are turning out to be as hollow as his promises to turn profits at casinos and sell digital currencies. The first was that he’d be using a bunch of his tariff money to make whole any farmers who were negatively impacted by his trade war. But this past week, he announced just $11 billion in funding for that support. For those who remember 2018, that’s less than half of the $23 billion he authorized during his first round of trade wars. An economist with North Dakota State University estimated that farmers will lose between $35 billion and $43 billion over his trade war this year alone, so you can do the math on whether that’s actually making them whole. And, of course, it really pales in comparison to the $40 billion in assistance that he pledged to his friends in Argentina just a few weeks ago.
His second whopper was that his Treasury Secretary (and self-declared soybean farmer) Scott Bessent and team had forged a new agreement with China for them to start buying American soybeans again. Trump promised that China would buy 12 million metric tons of our soybeans by the end of December. As of this week, they’ve bought less than 3 million tons. When asked about the discrepancy, team Trump said that the 12 million tons would be purchased by the end of the 2025 growing season. When asked when that would be, they replied that they defined it as the end of February 2026. Even assuming that China buys the full 12 million (which isn’t a great bet), that’s still far less than the 26.8 million metric tons they bought from us in 2024.
For anyone who has been outside our metro bubbles, you’d know that Iowans have been bearing the brunt of this all year. Donnelle Eller had an eye-opening summary in the Register that’s more than worth the read (link in the comments below). She noted that Iowa farmers filed the second-largest number of bankruptcies in the nation in the first half of this year. Iowa State University’s hotline for farmers struggling with financial and mental health challenges reported that they received three times as many calls this September when compared to September 2024. A farm mediation service said they were helping with 40% more cases this year compared to last. An agricultural mediation specialist was startled by how many farmers were talking about committing suicide. He noted, “just in the last month, I’ve had three people say the only way they see a way out” is to pay off their debts “through their insurance proceeds.”
All of this is a perfect storm for Iowa farmers. The Register found that Iowa farmers are expected to see a 24% decline in farm income in 2026. The American Bankers Association surveyed 450 agricultural lenders and found that only 48% thought farmers would turn a profit across the Corn Belt next year. The costs of farm equipment are hitting record-highs and the manufacturers of farm implements are shutting factories across the Midwest. A staggering number of farmers over 70 are finding that younger folks in their family are skeptical of a future in farming and thus taking over the operations. A sizable number of Iowa farmers get their health insurance from the Affordable Care Act, with premiums set to double or even triple after Republicans refused to extend the existing subsidies for it.
To add insult to injury, our House Dems team was combing through the Republican DOGE report for Iowa and noticed that they proposed several cuts, including the potential defunding for 4-H programs in Iowa. We pointed it out, Iowa Republicans forcefully pushed back and said none of it was true. We offered citations and asked them to prove us wrong. So far, we’ve only heard crickets. For a party who claims they center their attentions on Iowa farmers, they sure have a funny way of showing it.
    Representative Sean Bagniewski

  9. Three more days until the DOJ has to release the Epstein files. Expect the administration to come up with some distraction before then. Wonder who will be the distraction.

      1. Does it surprise anyone that the DOJ is not releasing all the Epstein files today? If it does surprise you, you must be a trumpette.

            1. Last administration had 4 years, maybe they knew it would take forever and didn’t want to deal with it on there watch

                    1. I know JD. But the DOJ is still holding onto thousands of pages. And they keep redacting them so there isn’t much of anything in them. Did you see Bill Clinton has called for the release of all the files. Guess he is tired of being accused of doing something that trump doesn’t want people to see. It is odd though that the man who told his supporters he would release all the files, is being extremely quiet now – at least about the Epstein files. He is still shooting off his mouth about everything else.

                    2. One surprise is that the DOJ said they just uncovered almost a million more files. How did that extensive search of the Epstein files not find these months ago? Just like there is no list of Epstein’s accomplices but it is on my desk says BamBam Bondi.

                    3. More surprises Ernest T. Trump bombs land targets in Venezuela and no one knows anything about it. More surprises….trump meets with Zelensky and snubs him at the airport.

                    4. Here is another surprise. Trump says he will give American citizens $2000 each (except for the rich ones – who, of course, look at $2000 as walk around money) from his tariff profits. I would bet if he hasn’t sent out the checks by 2026 elections, he won’t do it if the Republicans lose the House and possibly the Senate. Why would he? It won’t help him in any way and we all know you get nothing from him if he isn’t getting something better in return.

                    5. I like who I am. trumpers don’t like who they are or where they live. They want lily white neighborhoods with armed guards marching in the streets and government monitoring their activities. To them, that is heaven.

                    6. And the biggest surprise (not really a surprise) happens on January 2nd. Trump drops bombs on Venezuela including its major city. We are still waiting on the number of casualties many of whom are civilians.

  10. Go to truth social and see what the child in the White House said about a person who just was murdered. Seems to me a few months ago people were being fired for saying less offensive things about Charlie Kirk.

      1. Here you go. …. ”
A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS. He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. ”

A couple months ago the MAGAs were looking to eliminate every person who posted something bad about the death of Charlie Kirk. The language from the right was vicious and vile. Now, when the clown in the WH does what they said was horrid, they are suddenly ok with that type of language when it is about someone who wasn’t fond of trump. Hypocrisy runs deep in the MAGA crowd.

  11. Drip, drip, drip: A newly-declassified timeline exposes how the FBI’s investigation of the Clinton Foundation was hamstrung by DOJ leaders while the inquiry into Trump-Russia collusion hoax marched forward. This isn’t the first tranche of evidence pointing to political interference.
Funny how more keeps coming every day.

    1. Considering this happened about six months ago and Chuckles Grassley hasn’t come up with anything more substantial than he originally had, and the DOJ of Trump hasn’t made a big deal out of it, makes one believe this is another distraction from the Epstein files. Four more days.

      1. This bombshell story seems to have evaporated like most stories from the right that allege left wing corruption.

  12. John Morgan, a longtime Democratic donor who was a top Biden bundler, said he won’t give “a penny” to the library, citing poor treatment from Biden staff: “He’ll be lucky to have a bookmobile.”

    1. True, however….Most of the more than half a dozen people who were once major Biden donors or bundlers who spoke with NBC News said they harbored no ill will toward Biden himself but either wouldn’t give to the library or would give only a token amount. A number of them requested anonymity to speak frankly.

They cited a range of factors, from not wanting to make themselves a target of the White House to holding their financial firepower for the party’s future. Some cited personal interactions with Biden’s inner circle as being so distasteful they believed it would be a barrier to ever raising significant funds for the 46th president of the United States.

At least if he has a bookmobile, he will still have more books than the Trump library will have.

  13. Yay, gas prices are lower. Now it costs us less to go to the grocery store where we pay outrageously high prices that trump say are the lowest ever. Affordability is a democratic hoax.

  14. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee “probably could have tried to keep Crockett out” if they “were strong,” a national Democratic strategist told Axios.

"But they're not. They're the weakest they've ever been."

  15. BREAKING: Stephen Miller moves to purge Kristi Noem as MAGA civil war EXPLODES inside Trump’s White House.
In the latest episode of As the Trump Regime Implodes, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem — once a MAGA darling and would-be VP pick — is now dangling by a thread as one of Trump’s most feared henchmen sharpens the axe.
According to new reporting, Stephen Miller — the architect of Trump’s most extreme immigration policies and self-appointed shadow president — is actively gunning for Noem’s removal. And in classic Trumpworld fashion, it’s a toxic mix of incompetence, infighting, and spectacular mismanagement of taxpayer billions.
Turns out Noem was handed an eye-popping $45 billion in GOP-approved funds to build Trump’s “big, beautiful” network of immigration detention facilities. Her job? Spend the money. Fast.
Her result? Absolutely nothing to show for it. Not a single shiny new prison camp (or concentration camp, as they might be better described) has been built..
Miller, unsurprisingly, is furious. And he’s not alone.
Multiple Republican governors have reportedly called Trump personally to complain that Noem is botching FEMA assistance and disaster relief funds as spectacularly as she bungled her VP audition — all while grabbing national headlines for the wrong reasons and embarrassing the administration at every turn.
Inside the White House, staffers say the knives are out, the shortlist of replacements is being drafted, and Trump is “considering moving on” — which in Trump-speak means Noem should probably start packing boxes.
Meanwhile, publicly at least, Noem is in complete denial of her precarious position.
Asked by a reporter at a TSA event in Tampa what her response is to the rumors of her imminent replacement, Noem responded with a laugh, “No, I don’t have any indication of that. The President is fantastic. I’m very proud every single day to be able to work for him.”
Further pressed on whether she expected to be serving for all four years of the current administration, the cos-playing Secretary of Homeland Security said, “I will serve at the President’s pleasure, which I’m very grateful to him for.”
And who’s reportedly at the top of the replacement list for Noem’s position? None other than Glenn Youngkin — the freshly unemployed Virginia governor who at least arrives free of the bizarre scandals and self-inflicted wounds that have become Noem’s signature move.
The MAGA machine is devouring itself from the inside. And if Stephen Miller is leading the purge, you know the chaos is just getting started.
Please like and share to spread the news.

  16. Democrats once called out links between drug trafficking and terrorism but then came Trump

That was then, this is now: Dems even specifically identified Venezuela, where Trump has focused most of his pressure, as a hub for drug trafficking linked to such terrorist groups.

    1. Before anyone talks about “bombing fishing boats” or “stopping fentanyl from Venezuela,” here are the actual facts:
      Distance:
The closest point between Venezuela and the United States is 1,073 miles.
That’s over a thousand miles of open ocean.
      Fishing boats:
A typical fishing boat would need 6–12 full tanks of fuel to even attempt that trip.
It’s not a realistic trafficking route — it’s not even physically practical.
How much fentanyl comes from Venezuela?
      Virtually none.
Venezuela is not a source country for fentanyl going into the United States.
Where U.S. fentanyl actually comes from:
      • China supplies most of the precursor chemicals
      • Mexico manufactures the illicit fentanyl
      • Fentanyl enters mostly through ports of entry by land, hidden in vehicles — not fishing boats
So the idea that Venezuelan fishing boats are flooding the U.S. with fentanyl is not just wrong — it’s physically impossible.
If we want to solve the fentanyl crisis, we have to start with facts, not myths.

        1. “The White House has trumpeted a series of lethal strikes — three and counting — against suspected drug boats in the Caribbean Sea.

President Trump listens to a reporter’s question in the Oval Office of the White House on Friday
          World
Trump says U.S. military fatally struck another alleged drug-smuggling boat
After the first one, President Trump posted online a black-and-white video that shows a fast-boat speeding through open water before bursting into flames. He said 11 suspected members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua were killed, but the administration has not provided any evidence to support its assertions.

After the second strike, Trump was asked by reporters about providing evidence that the boat was indeed carrying drugs and posed a threat to the U.S.

“We have proof. All you have to do is look at the cargo, it’s spattered all over the ocean. Big bags of cocaine and fentanyl all over the place,” he said.

He added that the government also “recorded evidence” but he did not elaborate.

Anyone who would believe Donald Trump at this point in time is in a cult.

          1. And believing the previous president saying the borders are closed/secured would not be living/believing the cult life

              1. I’d keep in mind … if Trump can be tried and convicted, any one can… and things could get very, very ugly for the D fraudsters roaming free at present …

                1. I agree. If there are people out there who have been deceiving the American public for whatever reason, and from any political party, then they should be prosecuted. That is why trump is trying to change the rules the World Court uses.

                1. I don’t think Biden was trying to arrange things on the international scene to make sure he wouldn’t be prosecuted for the crimes he was committing. Trump is.

                    1. First of all, he was told to get him fired because he was working for Russia rather than Ukraine. Second of all, our allies also wanted him gone but now trump has alienated all of our allies so today it probably wouldn’t have happened.

                    2. The firing of Viktor Shokin, Ukraine’s corrupt Prosecutor General, was the
culmination of a years-long effort by a bipartisan, international coalition to
address and root out corruption in Ukraine.
The removal of Shokin, who slow-walked efforts to fight corruption, only
increased the likelihood that Burisma and its owner, Mykola Zlochevsky, would
                      be investigated.
The false claim that Vice President Biden called for Shokin’s firing to help his
son was created and perpetuated by Rudy Giuliani.

  17. LA County officials approved an emergency declaration that will cover living expenses for people who miss work because they fear immigration raids. It started accepting requests for aid this month.

    1. They released a ton of messages between her and Epstein on Wednesday. You need to do more work on your research. She wasn’t employed by Goldman Sachs when the emails were exchanged.

        1. I guess I don’t know why they are shielding those messages. Maybe attorney-client privilege. You should ask Epstein’s best friend. He might know.

            1. Just because I answered your question doesn’t mean I am pushing propaganda. Don’t like it? Too bad. I bet you believe 90% of what trump tells you.

  18. Minnesota is reeling from a fraud scandal involving $1 billion siphoned from multiple federal programs during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past three years, 87 people have been charged and 61 have been convicted — most of Somali descent. Homan and company will be visiting next.

  19. On Wednesday Trump commuted the sentence of private equity executive David Gentile, convicted in August 2024 of defrauding 10,000 investors in a $1.6 billion scheme that included securities and wire fraud. According to Kenneth P. Vogel of the New York Times, prosecutors said the victims were small business owners, teachers, nurses, farmers, and veterans: “hardworking, everyday people.” “I lost my whole life savings,” one victim wrote about his losses. “I am living from check to check.”
A judge sentenced Gentile to seven years in prison. He reported to authorities on November 14, was incarcerated, and was released less than two weeks later after Trump commuted his sentence.

    1. I guess this points out that the current administration doesn’t really care about drugs and drug smuggling. They say that is why they are considering invading Argentina but the real reason isn’t drugs, it is oil and the amount of money our big oil companies can make by taking over the Argentians oil reserves. You have to believe that something is fishy here.

    2. Trump just pardoned Michele Fiore, the Nevada Republican politician who stole $70,000 dollars from a Police Memorial Fund, to pay for plastic surgery. Congrats, MAGA – you voted to Defund The Police!

      1. Unfortunately that’s one. How many democratic lead cities have de funded or major cuts to their police departments

  20. “I can just picture inside the Pentagon:
Colonel: Captain, I want you to charge Senator Mark Kelly with sedition.
Captain: What act of sedition is that, sir?
Colonel: Telling the troops they are not to obey illegal orders.
Captain: But doesn’t the UCMJ already say that, sir?
    Colonel: Yes
Captain: And don’t we teach all recruits that regulation? And remind all personnel annually, sir?
    Colonel: Yes
Captain: Will we be court martialing all the drill sergeants, sir?
    Colonel: No of course not.
Captain: Then why are we investigating Senator Kelly, sir?
    Colonel: POTUS wants it.
Captain: Isn’t that an illegal order, sir?”

    Hegseth takes another drink.

    1. So, you are good with the average soldier, with questionable legal skills/knowledge, deciding what is and is not a legal order?

      1. I certainly am. I don’t think a robot who doesn’t know right from wrong would be reliable defending my family. I prefer people who can think.

        1. Sorry, but that is why there are officers and hierarchy in the military. At the top is Trump, the underlings must obey whoever is above them n the chain of command. The grunts aren’t paid to think, they are paid to follow orders.

          1. The grunts should obey orders but they signed on to obey all lawful orders. They follow an illegal order they are going to be charged. It doesn’t matter who gives the order.

              1. Does JAG even exist anymore? Trump has removed almost all the whistleblowers and guardians of our country so they can’t report him when he does illegal stuff. Has he axed the JAGs or did he just replace them with loyal MAGAites?

                  1. Yes to what? No to what? Prior to trump, TJAGs were appointed as a non political appointment. With trump, all TJAGs must be aligned with his political agenda. Under trump, they were appointed with the understanding that they would not put up roadblocks to trump enacting his agenda even if they felt he was acting illegally. If that isn’t essentially firing them, it is pretty darn close.

                    https://verdict.justia.com/2025/03/04/lets-kill-all-the-lawyers-the-friday-night-massacre-of-judge-advocates-general

                  2. Oh, I can follow normal conversations. But, the post I responded to isn’t clear as to what the answers were responding to. It looks like Hegseth is going to find himself in hot water soon for ordering the murder of the two survivors of his illegal bombing. The top two Senators on the Armed Forces Committee are not happy with him.

            1. You still want the low end grunts to dissect the law and think too much. They can’t make those decisions – it leads to chaos.

          1. Of course not. But all recruits in the US military are taught to not obey illegal orders and they are told what constitutes an illegal order.

“The military teaches recruits that they are only obligated to follow lawful orders, and they are taught they must refuse orders that are clearly illegal. While recruits are trained to obey most orders without question, the oath of enlistment and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) legally require service members to disobey any order that violates the Constitution, U.S. laws, or international law.
Oath of Enlistment: The oath requires members to “obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice”. This includes the obligation to only obey lawful orders.
Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ): The UCMJ provides the legal framework for the military and explicitly states that service members are liable for a wide range of crimes, regardless of whether they were ordered to commit them.
What constitutes an unlawful order: Unlawful orders include those that direct a service member to commit a crime, such as murder, assault, or the intentional targeting of civilians. Military personnel are taught to recognize these orders and have a legal and moral obligation to disobey them.
Consequences: Disobeying an unlawful order can protect a service member, but it can also lead to risks such as retaliation or adverse career actions. However, military law protects them from punishment for refusing an unlawful order.”

            1. In addition to the above, we saw today what happens when your superiors give an illegal order and it is carried out, they will pass the buck and put the blame on the lower ranked person.

  21. The newly elected mayor of New York City who is a muslim, is requiring that all school children in NYC must learn the Arabic number system. Wow!

            1. Anybody who believes the newly elected Mayor of New York is doing this is one of trump’s dumbest supporters.

  22. Millions of taxpayer dollars stolen from Minnesota welfare programs have been sent to Somalia, where the funds landed in the hands of the radical Islamic terror group Al-Shabaab.

“The largest funder of Al-Shabaab is the Minnesota taxpayer,” The City Journal reported in an investigation published Wednesday.

  23. DoorDash released its annual Cheeseburger Index this month, and the numbers tell a brutal story about what four years of Biden economics did to working families.
But here’s what the corporate media won’t tell you. Under Biden’s watch from 2021 to 2025, food prices at restaurants surged 22% overall.³ Fast food got hammered even harder, with prices at chains like McDonald’s more than doubling since 2014.⁴

    1. The report’s data on a “cheeseburger index” focused on average prices for a full cheeseburger meal (burger, fries, and a drink) in different cities.
Moderate Price Increase: Nationally, the average price of a full cheeseburger meal increased by approximately 3.8% between September 2024 and September 2025, from $17.90 to $18.58.
Wages vs. Prices: The report indicated that wage growth has been outpacing the restaurant price index since early 2024, which suggests an increase in consumer spending power in the foodservice industry.
Inflation Slowing: According to the study, menu price inflation at restaurants started 2024 at nearly 6% but had slowed to 3.2% by September 2025.
City-by-City Variation: The cost varied widely by location, with cities like Lincoln, Nebraska, offering an average price of $10.75, while in Anchorage, Alaska, the price was around $25.55.

  24. Looks like even the big investors are leaving trump. The Dow has dropped almost 2500 points in the last five days and there is no relief in sight.

      1. Trump has been taking the money and running since he became President. He isn’t pardoning the Thanksgiving turkey this year because it couldn’t come up with $2 million to pay for a pardon that is required from this administration.

        1. Probably true. But the alternative is worse. Both parties make the rich richer. However, the D party makes the lazy, the crazy and the criminal feel entitled to wealth and opportunities they do not deserve. That’s the bottom line.

              1. Why do you believe that? It shouldn’t matter whether they are Republican or Democrat. They are pedophiles and should be held accountable. Surely, you don’t believe everyone in there is a Democrat? If you do, you are truly an idiot and a cult member.

                  1. TDS has nothing to do with it. I am against all pedophiles regardless of political party and I want them punished. But, you didn’t answer my question. Do you think they are all Dems?

                    1. I see two things wrong with that statement. If you are proven wrong, will you admit it? Or, if there are 299 democrats on the list and 298 republicans, you will say. See? I was right.

              1. I would guess that he has Republican friends. Or he has something on the orange buffoon. Bill’s nickname is Bubba. And pedo Don likes giving him bjs.

                  1. Well, oh wise one, what is your explanation for it? By the way, I believe in due process. I know that concept is difficult for MAGAs, but it is still part of our Constitution.

    1. The market is way, way over bought. So far past time for a huge correction that makes 2500 look like a bump in the road. Dow to 30,000, please. Take the S&P with it.

  25. Reality check: Don’t expect grocery items to plunge from the tariff rollback.

Wholesalers and retailers might pass along some of the tariff savings to consumers. But cost pressures stem from a slew of other factors — including climate risks and labor shortages.

    1. I wonder if NIT is going to report on the release of the Epstein files and how they implicate the current President.

      1. This was just as big an issue years ago, and through the Biden years. Dem’s failed to release the files then. Why are they trying to now? What has come out so far is hearsay from Jeffee. He’s not exactly credible. He’s dead and rotting, tho. After we learn all about Bill and the crazed celebs who raise trans kids, maybe we will find out more.

You really should research the topic. There is a reason it wasn’t released by the Biden administration. I agree he is dead so he can’t tell us personally but the evidence he provides in his ‘papers’ isn’t hearsay especially because the statements seemingly show complicity. And that should be a deal breaker but to many on the right (not necessarily MAGAs), Trump is a great President because policy-wise they can do whatever they want and he will okay it. He just wants to rake in the money, notoriety, power and adulation that comes with the Presidency. I really hope we find out more. With this administration though anything is possible and it wouldn’t surprise if suddenly the entire file disappears. But it is just a hoax, right?

            1. So…why the Dems pushing it now? Why not push it now? Their reasoning in waiting has nothing to do with prosecuting Epstein’s friends who are pedophiles. If it isn’t damaging to trump, then why do you still want to conceal them from the public? According to trump, it is all a Democratic hoax but he wants to charge Clinton, Summers, Hoffman and others with crimes found in those files. So, if it is a hoax, any crimes would be made up.

                1. You right wing wackos know that releasing the files four years ago was impossible because the case against Epstein, Maxwell and the others was still an open case and it would have been illegal for anyone to release the files while an investigation was ongoing. And it still doesn’t matter or are you gearing up to say that “if I would have known this four years ago I wouldn’t have voted for trump” so it is the Democrats fault he is President?

                    1. Yes, they do but most often they follow the advice of the prosecuting attorney and law enforcement. Read the article.

                    2. Trump apparently flip flopped on releasing the Epstein files. Now he says release them. The real reason he said that is because he had just instructed Pam Bam Bam Bondi to investigate prominent democrats in the files. Guess how long that investigation will take? I bet about three and 1/2 years. Why? Because they can’t release the files if there is an ongoing investigation into the case.

          1. Trump has been seen partying with JE. Looks very bad. Or it is all a big coincidence. I need more than JE “words” to be completely convinced of any criminal wrongdoing, tho.

  26. Subsidies were greatly expanded by the Biden administration during the COVID-19 pandemic as an emergency measure, but Democrats have fought to keep them permanent. Those subsidies went mostly to Democratic donors.

  27. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), in a statement: “We will fight the GOP bill in the House of Representatives.”
You fought all the bills…what else is new?

  28. A report today showed that in October, layoff announcements hit their highest level in more than 20 years. According to data from Challenger, Gray & Christmas, a private firm that collects data on workplace reductions, Abha Bhattarai of the Washington Post reported, U.S. employers have announced 1.1 million layoffs so far in 2025. That number rivals job cuts during the Great Recession of 2008 and 2009.

              1. Wait, you are criticizing Al Jazeera because they have a foreign sounding name? Guess what? This source comes from Qatar which, as you surely know, is your leader’s favorite country now that they have given him an airplane and he is letting them work out of an air force base in Idaho. Who knows how much money they have poured into his businesses and deposited in his big pockets.

                    1. A good business man? He is using his position to enrich himself which is against the law. If you call that good business, you must be in the mafia.

                    2. One of the main points the MAGAs pushed was that trump isn’t a politician. Now, you say he is just like all politicians? Drain the swamp or is he just filling it up with money for himself? By the way, his approval rating is the lowest it has ever been and it keeps sinking. Americans are finally seeing him as he really is – a grifter and a bully.

  29. Chants of “Tax the rich!” roared at the “New York Is Not for Sale” rally. Young people cheered wildly. It was a stunning socialist celebration.
Is this where we are heading?

    1. Gallup presaged this dynamic with polling last month showing that 66% of Democrats hold a positive view of socialism, compared to 42% for capitalism.

    2. trump’s tax reduction for billionaires has worked very well for them but not so much for the average person. MAGAs love to hate immigrants and liberals and vote for giving those billionaires more and more money. Warren Buffet stated his secretary paid about twice the amount of taxes he did….19% to 33%. That is what Repubs have done for us.

                1. Which is true but it is also why we have two sets of justice. One for those who can buy their way out and one for the rest of us.

  30. Sen. Chuck Grassley released 197 subpoenas revealing the Biden Justice Department spied on hundreds of Republicans, including nearly 20 percent of Senate Republicans

    1. “Not only wasn’t it an overreach, it’s not even news. Jack Smith cites these conversations in his report, so this is not like he was trying to keep this a secret. Remember what Smith was investigating. He was investigating Donald Trump’s attempts to overturn the election through the use of fake electors in Congress. He was lobbying members of Congress to do just that. That was evidence in the case. So it is of course appropriate for him to investigate the time and nature—or at least the time and the duration—of calls with members of Congress.”

“It actually seems sort of obvious that if you’re investigating a former president of the United States for trying to subvert an election, you’d probe some of contacts he and alleged co-conspirators had with people he was trying to enlist/pressure to overturn the results.”

  31. This theory of virtually unlimited presidential power isn’t new. But it’s never been stretched this far, this fast.

    1. Tuberville went on the national news today and said he and others are trying to find a way around the Constitution to put trump in the White House in 2028. That is what the unlimited power grab is all about.

            1. It isn’t an excuse, it is the truth.
“A cult can refer to a group with extreme devotion to a person, idea, or object, often with unusual beliefs and rituals, or it can describe a smaller religious group with unorthodox beliefs. The term is frequently used in a derogatory way to describe groups perceived as manipulative or dangerous, and it often has negative connotations due to association with psychological manipulation, coercive control, and charismatic leaders who isolate members from the outside world. ”

This is you. Do you still have the tampon you put on your ear after the attack on trump’s ear in 2024?

      1. If it was a power grab, Trump would not bother with another election. They are feeling things out, and getting a huge rise out of you in the process. They love activating your rage.

        1. You know just as well as I do that running for a third term has been on trump’s little mind since 2016. They will attempt anything to ensure that happens. Whether it will be suspending elections because of the war we will be in, or because of domestic terrorism which they manufacture. He tried it in 2020 with the attempted coup and he will try it again. Whatever can keep his picture and name on the front page of the news is what he is after.

          1. What “war we will be in” are you referring to? The war on stupidity? The war on worshipping creepers in our society? I’d enlist in that war.

              1. How about the war on truth and reality that the MAGAs are waging? That is what should really bother you but, like most Trumpies, it is fine as long as it is you waging the war.

                  1. They are against any truth that points out their leader is wrong or lying. “They are eating their dogs, they are eating their pets.” “The Epstein files are on my desk. Oh, wait, there are no files.” “The economy is the best in world” “Everything is Biden’s fault.” “I don’t know who that man is but I pardoned him.” and on and on.

  32. Here is an interesting take on trump’s ballroom by Rachel Hurley.

I just read a post on FB that got my spidey senses tingling.
An architect named Andrew Kerr just laid out why Trump’s White House ballroom project is basically bullshit. And his math checks out.
Here’s the deal. Trump’s now saying this 90,000 square foot ballroom will cost $300 million. Do the math on that – it’s $3,333 per square foot. For context, $1,000 per square foot is already astronomical for construction. We’re talking about a price tag that makes zero sense unless you’re building on the moon.
Kerr points out that if this thing actually follows classical proportions like the renderings suggest, you’re looking at a footprint about 380 feet by 235 feet. That’s longer than a football field and 1.5 times as wide. For a ballroom that’s supposed to hold 999 people – which by the way, started at 650 people when this was first announced in July and magically grew to accommodate almost 1,000.
Let’s talk about what you actually need for 999 people according to Kerr. At a comfortable 20 square feet per person for a banquet – which is pretty generous – you need 20,000 square feet. Throw in another 10,000 for support functions and 10,000 for pre-function space, and you’re at 40,000 square feet. That’s less than half of the supposed 90,000 square feet. So what’s the other 50,000 square feet for?
The renderings are also suspect. Kerr notes that the interior and exterior views don’t match. The White House is 70 feet tall to the roof. The interior renderings show a room about 100 by 200 feet with a 20-foot ceiling. But the exterior renderings show a footprint 4.5 times larger than that. The math doesn’t work.
Plus – there are no actual architectural drawings. Just some pretty renderings that could have been whipped up by junior staff in a week or two. That’s it. No construction documents, no engineered plans, no detailed specifications. For a $300 million project that’s supposedly breaking ground and already has demolition crews tearing down the East Wing.
For context, typical commercial construction in 2025 runs $240 to $870 per square foot depending on location and building type. Even high-rise offices in expensive cities like DC max out around $870 to $1,000 per square foot. Trump’s ballroom is coming in at more than three times that amount.
Let’s also talk about what this space is actually for. The current East Room holds 200 people for state dinners. So we’re supposedly building something 1.6 times the size of the entire White House residence to accommodate 5 times the capacity of the East Room.
The architect behind this project? James McCrery – whose firm specializes in Catholic churches. His biggest project to date was the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Knoxville, Tennessee. His other federal government work includes designing a pedestal for a Ronald Reagan statue and a gift shop at the Supreme Court. That’s it. Now he’s supposedly designing a $300 million addition to the most famous building in America that’s bigger than the White House itself.
The firm’s website is basically empty – just a contact form for new commissions and a slideshow. No detailed project portfolio, no team information, nothing that would inspire confidence in a firm handling a project of this magnitude. Even their Instagram is bare – “Committed to Tradition and Excellence” in the bio, but zero posts.
Here’s what makes this whole thing smell like bullshit: The project was announced in July with a $200 million price tag. By September, Trump was saying $250 million. Now in October, we’re at $300 million – a 50% cost increase before construction even really starts. That’s not how legitimate projects work. That’s how grifts work.
The timeline is also absurd. They announced this in July, started demolition in September, and claim they’ll have it done before Trump’s term ends in January 2029. That’s less than four years to design, permit, and construct a 90,000 square foot addition to a National Historic Landmark. For context, the Truman renovation of the White House – which kept only the exterior walls standing – took nearly four years from 1948 to 1952. And that was with full congressional funding and proper oversight.
Now, let me ask you this – if the timeline is correct – why the hell would the most selfish man on earth spend 3.5 years building a ballroom that won’t be ready to use until the month he moves out of the White House?
Yeah – this is all bullshit.

      1. You and I will pay for it. Higher prices from those companies ‘donating’ to the fund and a shit ton of money for upkeep. I bet by the time this monstrosity is completed, the price will be closer to a billion dollars. And guess who gets the extra money from the donations? It won’t be me or you.

        1. What upkeep is there in a ballroom… what about the expense to hold these gatherings elsewhere, that is likely negated now… i can’t believe you have me defending the ultra rich here lol.

          1. Well, Matt. if you defend trump, you defend billionaires because those are the people who are benefitting from his presidency.

          2. Do you think people are going to come in and clean it up themselves? Who will clean it when it isn’t in use? Who will clean all that glass? Who will set up and tear down for the Billionaire’s Ball? There are a hundred things that will go into the upkeep of this monstrosity.

            1. You are talking about a handful of $15 an hour employees. A few maintenance, janitors, butlers, whoever … all people probably on the payroll in the Exec branch already. You seem tot think that events that already have without this facility are free or something. What you outline does not equate to new expenses.

          1. The only thing I want, you fucking moron, is for someone to stop the felon in the White House from destroying our country.

  33. Maybe they have but I am still looking for a legitimate source that is telling this story. The only place I find it is on Fox channels and the New York Post. Both are MAGA (Make Argentina Great Again) owned and operated by Rupert Murdoch so there is little difference in the entertainment they put out. I will wait for the real story. I was not a fan of our FBI or CIA before trump arrived on the political scene and under his leadership they are even worse. I believe they are capable of doing (and have done) a lot of underhanded schemes both here and abroad.
My problem with this whole setup is Project 2025 people who are behind this. They know that the release of the Epstein files is going to damage trump and they don’t want that to happen especially before the midterms because if they lose the House, they lose the next two years of getting what they want. They bring up one catastrophic scenario every couple of weeks to keep people distracted from the files. They find things that rile up that group of voters who will vote for them regardless of what is actually happening and they keep feeding that anger. Once the midterms are over, the files will be released.

  34. Trump’s DOJ found evidence Dems are skewing crime stats ahead of the midterm elections Trump’s
    Source: New York Post

    1. Considering that Trump has fired every fact checker in the government who has reported news that isn’t favorable to him, you would think that there were no Democrats in his administration. How are they circumventing his watchful eye?

  35. Gov. Reynolds orders flags lowered to half-staff on October 25 in honor, remembrance of Iowa Senator Claire Celsi
DES MOINES— Today, Gov. Reynolds ordered all flags in Iowa to be lowered to half-staff and remain at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, October 25, 2025, honoring Iowa Senator Claire Celsi on the day a ceremony will be held to celebrate her life.
“Claire was an impassioned voice for Central Iowa constituents and advocated on their behalf for several years in the State House. Even while privately battling illness, Claire made it a point to return to her post during this year’s legislative session and stand for her beliefs. Our family is praying for Claire’s loved ones at this time,” Governor Reynolds said.
Celsi was elected to three terms in the Iowa Senate, representing Central Iowans in the greater Des Moines metro area. She was a ranking member of the Government Oversight Committee and also served on the Health and Human Services, Natural Resources and Environment, State Government, and Transportation standing committees, and the Administration and Regulation Appropriations subcommittee. A Des Moines area native, she graduated from Dowling Catholic High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Drake University.
In September 2025, Celsi’s family announced she had entered hospice care. She passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025.
Flags will be flown at half-staff on the State Capitol Building and on flag displays in the Capitol Complex. Flags will also be at half-staff on all public buildings, grounds, and facilities throughout the state.
Individuals, businesses, schools, municipalities, counties and other government subdivisions are encouraged to fly the flag at half-staff for the same length of time as a sign of respect.

  36. This is what the President’s goon squads are doing all over this country.

BREAKING: OMG! Trump’s ICE goons threaten to SHOOT an ambulance driver after he tried to pick up a protestor they brutalized!
A few days ago, an EMS team attempted to pick up a protester whose collarbone had been broken, probably by ICE agents themselves, from the ICE facility on South Macadam Avenue in Portland, Oregon.
But the ICE goons wouldn’t let the ambulance leave, with 50-60 of them putting themselves in the path of the ambulance. They demanded an agent be allowed to ride in the ambulance to the hospital with the patient, which is illegal.
Frustrated, the ambulance driver put the vehicle into park, causing it to lurch forward. This is what happened next:
“I then placed the ambulance into park, took my foot off the brake, undid my seat belt and opened the driver’s side door. I looked up and suddenly the entire group of officers…were crowded around the open car door, some of them leaning forward towards me, inches from my face.”
An agent, the driver recalled, “pointed his finger at me in a threatening manner and began viciously yelling in my face, stating, ‘DON’T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN, I WILL SHOOT YOU, I WILL ARREST YOU RIGHT NOW.’”
“I was still in such shock,” the driver later wrote, “that they were not only accusing me of such a thing, but crowding and cornering me in the seat, pointing and screaming at me, threatening to shoot and arrest me, and not allowing the ambulance to leave the scene. This was no longer a safe scene, and in that moment, I realized that the scene had not actually been safe the entire time that they were blocking us from exiting, and that we were essentially trapped.”
Eventually, the thuggish morons decided they would follow the ambulance in their own vehicles to continue harassing the protester once they got to the hospital.
It’s shocking to think they’d be willing to shoot an AMBULANCE DRIVER but this is where we are; ICE is acting with total impunity and seems to believe they are above the law. Congress must take action immediately to rein these barbarians in.

    1. ·
Waukegan, Illinois — a viral video has the internet fuming after U.S. Border Patrol agents were caught on camera yelling “We don’t need a warrant!” while forcefully arresting a woman outside City Hall.
Witnesses say the woman — reportedly a 23-year-old U.S. citizen — was pulled from her car and shoved into an unmarked SUV as agents cursed at bystanders questioning their authority. One officer was heard telling someone to “f–k off” after being asked if they had a warrant.
Local officials later confirmed the woman’s father verified her citizenship. Waukegan’s mayor even stepped in mid-incident, calling the arrest “disturbing.”
Social media users lit up the comments calling the footage “straight-up fascism,” noting that nearly 15 agents surrounded one unarmed woman.
America 2025: where “papers, please” is apparently back in style — and warrants are optional.

      1. I see zero problem with ICE and Homeland Security cleaning up the streets of America, and dealing a heavy hand to obstructionists. Things have gone too far with the lawbreakers – and not just the illegal aliens. Americans are way too entitled, and think that “this is a free country” means they can battle and assault police. They were raised by parents who taught them they can do and get away with anything. The boundaries have been reached. Lessons need to be taught.

        1. You will continue to believe that until they show up at your door or at your neighbor’s home or for your kid’s friends. Probably even then because like most of the right wing people, it isn’t bad until it happens to you.

          1. Typical far-left whining. They take criminals. Stop fear-mongering and enjoy the safety and security law enforcement provide to you.

          2. Apparently you can’t read because the people in the above examples were legal. ICE doesn’t care. If you look Hispanic or have a Hispanic name, you are fair game. Marco Rubio better be careful, same with Ted Cruz.

    2. Whiny. I’ll take more of this. Thump these bastards on the head till they learn to obey laws and go out and work for a living.

      1. I see the President pardoned George Santos today. More of that good old fashioned bullshit from the felon in the White House

  37. You need borders. You need honest media. You need honest elections. And you have a great country. And you need all three of them,” Trump declared.

There it was – the President’s entire governing philosophy distilled into three clear, memorable principles that every conservative can understand and rally behind.

    1. Let me fix that for you. We need more white people in America, we need elections where only MAGA-endorsed candidates win, and we need media that only reports on how great the President is. No negative reporting.

      1. When you can’t acknowledge good results because of who achieved them, you’ve stopped caring about outcomes and started caring only about politics.

        1. I do appreciate the work he put into the Israel-Palestine conflict. If the cease fire holds, and both sides abide by the treaty, then he did what Presidents of the US are supposed to do – be a leader on the world stage. If not, he tried. The closing of the borders, the absence of a health care plan to replace what he is dismantling, the obvious catering to the ultra wealthy, the hatred he incites for immigrants and people of color, and the demeaning manner in which he treats his opponents are all things he is failing at. If he would treat the average joe the same way he treats those who increase his financial well-being, then we would be much better off. But he is a petty, insecure little man. He has always been one and will continue to be one until he is gone.

          1. There will be no long-term peace there until one side is totally decimated. The hate out there is thick and built into the DNA now.

      2. America is full of law-abiders and criminals. I will take the side of law and order. At this time, the DEM party has moved so far left it is appalling. Free everything for the worst of us, the lazy, the illegal, criminals, the mentally insane men playing little girls in sports, dressing up in costumes. Nah. Not for me. Time to clean up the mess of decades of poor choices and lax morals.

        1. You bet. Let’s go back to the days when they burned women at the stake because someone said they were witches. Or maybe go back to when you could burn down a church that was used by Blacks because they weren’t really Christians. Or when you could hang a Black man for looking at a white woman. Or maybe even back to the days where you could be ruined financially or personally by someone saying you were a communist. Or the days when you could walk into a bar and get beat up because your hair was too long. The good old days, right?

            1. I had a great childhood. My parents taught me that everyone is important in this life and belittling someone or hating someone because they were different was wrong. Each of the above examples showed me where people were treating others in a way that wasn’t right. Don’t know what your parents taught you but I bet you didn’t listen.

                1. It is easy for people to say they have nothing against Mexicans, Muslims, any race whose people have dark skin, Gays, Trans people, or any other minority. What is also easy and disconcerting is to look at who you vote for to see your diminished values.

                  1. These so-called minorities you list have become aggressive in the pursuit of worship of their lifestyles from us, and some of us are pretty turned off by it. Maybe more than turned off. I for one will not participate in placating the whims of the mentally ill or cultures that hate me. Make sense?

        2. This is a story that you must have missed when you were talking about the far left. This is the middle of the road right. Hate to see what the real radicals are like.

    2. You have to put into context what trump means when he says honest media and honest elections. He means media that showers him with praise and adulations and elections where he and other MAGAs win. Anything else is not “honest”. according to him.

  38. I used to wonder how it was possible that Trump could have won in 2016, and this second time in 2024 given how emotionally toxic and depraved he is.
I no longer do. I actually think he won, for that precise reason. Because he had at least one fucked-up part to mirror the fucked-up parts of millions.
If you are a racist, you found your guy. If you are a misogynist, you found your guy. If all you care about is money, you found your guy. If you have an emotionally armored heart, you found your guy. If you make fun of disabled people, you found your guy. If you hate intelligent people, you found your guy. If you are a rapist, you found your guy. If you like golden showers with Russian sex-workers, you found your guy. If you have not done a stitch of work on your emotional issues, you found your guy. If you are a serial cheater, you found your guy. If you are a perpetual bankrupt, you found your guy. If you don’t pay people for their honest work, you found your guy. If you are a hustler and a conman, you found your guy. If you mock people’s physical appearances, you found your guy. If you long for a toxic Daddy, you found your guy. If you are dissociated and disembodied, you found your guy. If you are unconscionable in all your economic dealings, you found your guy. If you lie day and night, you found your guy. If you have never eaten green vegetables, you found your guy. If you are a white supremacist, you found your guy. If you have a hole in your ego so big that not even the presidency could fill it, you found your guy. If you are a sociopath, and care not one iota about other humans, you found your guy. If you…
If he only had two of these issues, he never would have won. It was the fact that he had hundreds of them, that made him the winner. Because millions of humans are toxic. So they could relate to him, in one form or another.
It’s never been about trump. It’s always been about the people who finally have their twisted feelings about others validated. trump has given “those people” permission to disparage and hate their fellow human beings.
trump is only symptomatic of a much larger issue of a collective toxicity. If there is a single sentence that characterizes trump it is this: “He says the things I’m thinking.”
That may be what is so terrifying. Who knew that so many tens of millions of Americans were thinking unconscionable things about their fellow Americans?
Who knew that tens of millions men felt so emasculated by women and challenged by minorities? Who knew that after years of seeming progress on race and gender, tens of millions of white Americans lived in seething resentment, waiting for a demagogue to arrive who would legitimize their worst selves and channel them into political power?
Perhaps we had been living in a fool’s paradise.
    Now we aren’t. –Michael Joachim–

This hits it right on the head. Trump supporters find something in him they like or they find a characteristic they admire and vote for someone who models their hatred or dislikes or desires. They don’t care about the other stuff because that doesn’t matter when this guy owns their behavior and beliefs.

      1. You would be the poster child for the first 106 days. There is another relevant disorder that merits consideration: Trump delusion syndrome. In this disorder the victim has lost the ability to perceive any of the factual information related to Donald Trump

          1. No, that is what you have. You can’t objectively look at trump. You believe everything he says and think all his actions are just fine. He has ignored the law since he was installed into the presidency and no one in Congress has the balls to stop him.

      1. If someone gave you a new car, would you put gas in it and use it or expect them to? Have you ever received a gift that needed upkeep?

        1. Of course I would maintain the car. That was my point. I may have received a ‘free’ car but it is my responsibility to keep it running and that costs money. The ballroom may have private funding backing but someone has to pay the upkeep and that will cost a lot of taxpayer money. Just like the jet that Qatar ‘gave’ him. It wasn’t really free as it will cost nearly a billion dollars to refurbish it to trump’s standards and to national security standards. And then he gets to keep it. Explain that.

            1. He does. Of course, he says he won’t use it but will stick it in his ‘presidential library’ which is funny considering his president library won’t have any books. It will take about three years to get it up to speed to use as Air Force One and he will be out of office. So, we are spending a billion dollars to rig up to put it into his library. That is a great use of taxpayer money.

            2. You know, when you make dumb statements like who says he is keeping it, it shows how little you read and how sheltered you have become when it comes to trump. He has said from the day Qatar gave him the plane that it was his to keep and he would have it refurbished paid for by the US government. Not in just some obscure news source but in multiple ones, including Fox. You don’t care about the actual facts if it doesn’t suit your way of thinking. You are in a cult.

  39. Spin it however you want but trump isn’t doing any of us any favors.

“BREAKING: A leaked text shows Ag Sec Brooke Rollins HORRIFIED that China & Argentina DUPED Trump, costing American farmers BILLIONS. This incompetence story is WILD:
An AP photographer caught Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent reading a message from Rollins, flagged by CFPB Director Rohit Chopra. She warned Beijing had undercut American farmers by buying Argentine soybeans for way cheaper than the US can send them with Trump’s tariffs… all while the Trump admin gave a massive bailout for Argentina.
Worse for MAGA, in exchange for the bailout, Argentina lifted their export tax, making it even CHEAPER for China. This will directly TANK Trump’s already struggling farmer base.
Open season for mockery: The head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau mocked Trump’s Cabinet, asking them if they felt his policies were sabotaging US agriculture. House Democrats on the Agriculture Committee piled on: “Spoiler: Yes. Yes you are.”
Rep. Mark Pocan broke it down bluntly: Trump’s trade war drove China away from American crops, Argentina filled the gap, US farmers lost billions, and then Trump funneled $20B into Argentina’s economy. “How is this winning?” Pocan asked.
As one observer quipped: “You had me at, ‘China has outsmarted Trump.’”
Once again, Trump’s ego-driven trade wars punished American workers, while he handed victory to our foreign competitors.
Fascism isn’t strength. It’s incompetence dressed up as power.”

  40. You want to know what this shutdown fight reveals about how Democrats actually operate?

They’ll spend months attacking Republicans for trying to cut wasteful spending, then turn around and shut down the entire government when they can’t get more wasteful spending approved.

    1. The Republicans control the Presidency, Senate, House and SCOTUS. They could end the shutdown by agreeing to extend the subsidies for healthcare. But they won’t because they want the shutdown so they can make the Democrats look bad. People, however, know the truth and this will backfire. Trump is a fool and he has turned over the real governing to the Project 2025 creators. You should also know (which I am sure you do) that the subsidies help the average joe and they don’t even apply to the mega rich because they don’t need them to pay for their healthcare but regular people do. Right now, full health insurance for an individual without the subsidies would be around $1400 a month. With the subsidy, they are close to $350 a month. I don’t know many people right now with prices so high who can afford an extra $12,000 a year. Can you?

    2. Wasteful spending is going on right now throughout the government. How about $600 million to refurbish a jet that no Americans (except one) will ever get to use? Or a $200+ million dollar ballroom that isn’t needed? Or $70 million for golf outings for our President in only nine months? $30 million for a birthday parade? Or the cost of sending troops to LA for six months? $120 million. The cost of attorneys to defend him against all the lawsuits filed against him? The list goes on and on.

        1. Donated by who? We will see. Perhaps all the funding will be donated but what will trump give to the donors to get them to give? You conveniently omitted all the other things I mentioned.

      1. A President, his cabinet, his administration, Senators and Representatives are not supposed to profit off their jobs. All the right wing nuts complain about is how much money Biden ‘stole’, Pelosi ‘stole’, Obama ‘stole’ without proof of course but trump’s group doesn’t even try to hide it. His border czar took $50,000 from FBI agents who he thought were lobbyists and trump dropped the investigation. Kristi ‘Barbie in Boots’ Noem used millions of dollars of FEMA money to help rebuild a pier in Naples, Florida after one of MAGAs big donors called her up and told her to get it done. She did. Trump’s sons, Beavis and Butthead, are making billions off their dad’s name. Remember when the right went crazy over allegations Hunter Biden made millions using his dad’s influence and couldn’t prove it. These guys don’t care that their thievery is out in the open because nothing will be done to stop them.

        1. You can try to justify their lawlessness anyway you want but when it comes right down to it, they are criminals and need to be stopped.

                1. I am surprised you haven’t come back with some cutesy retort about his criminality like “what about Hunter?” or “What about HIllary?” or have you finally learned what deflection is?

                    1. No, if anyone has TDS, it is you. He is breaking laws. He doesn’t care and you don’t care. As long as you are ‘owning the libs’, you are fine with it. Release the Epstein files.

  41. One thing that has become really clear since yesterday is that we live in at least two different realities. Talking to a friend who only knew Charlie as a Christian motivational speaker because that’s all that ever came across her feed.
Showed me videos l’ve never seen before of him saying perfectly reasonable and empowering things.
I showed her videos she’d never seen before of his racism, misogyny, homophobia, advocating for violence against specific groups of people. She was horrified by his remarks about Pelosi’s husband’s attacker being bailed out and celebrated for his violent act. She was horrified by a number of things that he said, but she had never seen or heard them before, the same as I had never seen or heard the generalized clips of him sounding like a perfectly nice loving man and father.
Neither of us had a whole picture of this man. I mentioned he was a known white supremacist and she thought I was joking. She talked about him giving a speech about finding your purpose and doing good in the world and I thought she was joking.
I saw why this friend was mourning the loss of a person she thought was a good person. My friend, bless her, saw why I feel the way I do about him. We understood each other better. In spite of a multi-billion dollar internet machine specifically focused on keeping us apart. Because we talked to each other with the desire to listen and to learn rather than the desire to change someone else’s mind or to be “right”.
    Shelley Hart-Remmel

  42. I will never be afraid of the MAGAT monsters. Charlie Kirk was an asshole, who was killed by and asshole. I am not afraid of ICE, the FBI or any other group that claims to be federal agents. I just came from a local diner, and I saw the staff running around like mice in a cage. This is because most of their kitchen staff aren’t going to work. And we all know why, ICE.
This right wingnut bullshit of blaming the left for the violent speech that is leading to assholes getting shot by assholes is just way beyond the pale. Democrats never sent a violent mob to the Capitol to stop the counting of electoral ballots. Democrats never sent bombs to people that were Trump’s perceived enemies. Democrats never had a NAZI rally in Charlottsville VA, chanting “Jews will not replace us”. And then one of them ran down a counter protester just exercising her first amendment rights. And Democrats never ever said anything as vile as what Brian Kilmeade said on Fox and Friends, Friday. No Democrat ever called George Floyd a scumbag, but Charlie Kirk did!
Democrats don’t do that. MAGATS do! We the woke, liberal, progressive, empathetic Americans are not the ones pushing violence. MAGATS are doing that! Democrats aren’t blindly following the most corrupt and incompetent president in history. MAGATS are doing that!
We told you this was going to happen. We told you that the price of groceries was not going to come down on day one of Trump’s clusterfuck. We told you that he would be coming after Healthcare, SNAP and Medicare. We told you that he wouldn’t end the wars in Ukraine and GAZA on day one. We told you that tariffs were going to make inflation much worse. And we told you that the economy was going to start shrinking, just like it is. We told you that the strong jobs market was going to slow down. And we told you that brown people were going to be in danger from his ICE “agents”. We told you all of this, and you voted for him anyway.
Well, MAGATS I hope you love living in a fascist dictatorship, because that is where all this is headed. We told you so and you chose not to listen.
We told you all of this, but you didn’t listen. – Dale Doidge

    1. People that have said for years that liberals are rats, vermin, traitors, lunatics, Marxists, haters, sick, stupid, and patriot hating asses hanow want us to believe that liberals are the ones whose language incites people to do bad things are hypocrits.

  43. I am sick that our society has to solve problems with guns. Charlie Kirk should not be dead but his brand of firebrand rhetoric had to be part of the reason a man decided to kill him. His murderer was on Kirk’s side of the political spectrum but he was much farther right than Kirk. He wasn’t a liberal; he wasn’t an LGBTQ person, he wasn’t mentally ill. He thought that Kirk’s message wasn’t white enough for him. Google groyper and you will find a description of his killer. It is chilling.

  44. Dimwit nepo baby Bobby Kaufman, son of MAGAt Party Chair Fat Jeff Kaufman, gets elected to serve beside Fat Pat Grassley, nepo baby of Senile Chuck Grassley. How did that happen.

Republican state Rep. Bobby Kaufmann will help lead his party’s supermajority after Iowa House Republicans elected him as majority leader Monday morning.
Kaufmann, a farmer and business owner from Wilton, will serve as House majority leader for the rest of the 91st General Assembly after former House Majority Leader Matt Windschitl of Missouri Valley stepped down from his leadership role to focus on his campaign for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District.

“I am honored by the trust placed in me by my colleagues to serve as majority leader,” Kaufmann said in a statement. “This is a role I will not take lightly. I am committed to uniting our caucus to advance policies that strengthen our economy, support our families, and ensure our children will have bright futures. I look forward to working with Speaker (Pat) Grassley to address the challenges and opportunities facing Iowa with bold, practical solutions.”

    1. “I am committed to uniting our caucus to advance policies that strengthen our economy, support our families, and ensure our children will have bright futures.”

Bobby says I will do this by taking food away from the poor, make all decisions for all families in Iowa because they aren’t smart enough to do it our way, and ensure the futures of only kids who are white and MAGA. The rest of the kids can go to hell.

                  1. Curious is one of those people who don’t learn from past mistakes because they just roll off him like trump does with the Epstein files and any other info that demeans or accuses him.

  45. Tulsi Gabbard is such a flagrant and well-documented political grifter, andRussian asset. At first glance, Gabbard looked like a fresh, interesting figure. New to the national scene. Youthful. Charismatic. Photogenic. She had just enough anti-war seasoning to attract disillusioned progressives and a few crossover libertarians. She said all the right things — just enough to be dangerous, never enough to be held accountable.

But the thing about political grifters is that the mask eventually slips. And Tulsi’s mask didn’t just slip — it got caught in the woodchipper of her own contradictions.
Her job now — as Director of National Intelligence — isn’t some noble appointment. It’s her last political hustle. She has burned every bridge she ever stood on. The left doesn’t trust her. The right will tolerate her until she outlives her usefulness, which — judging by how quickly she’s sprinting through MAGA talking points — should be any minute now. Like every attention-starved media shape-shifter before her, she has no core beliefs. She has vibes. And those vibes are “whatever Trump needs me to say right now.”
And right now? He needs her to run cover for his Russia problem. Again.
Gabbard recently declassified what she claims is “bombshell intelligence” proving that the Obama administration staged a coup by rigging the 2017 intelligence assessment about Russian interference in the 2016 election. That would be the same assessment affirmed by all major intelligence agenciesvalidated by the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee, and reaffirmed under Trump’s own appointees. But that’s the thing about Tulsi — she doesn’t do truth. She does performance.
What she’s engaging in here is a textbook example of post hoc ergo propter hoc—Latin for “after this, therefore because of this.” She’s implying that because the intel assessment came out shortly before Trump took office, and because Trump had a meltdown about it, it must have been part of a coordinated coup. That’s not analysis. That’s astrological thinking with a security clearance.

          1. Anyone who has a big problem with Hillary’s emails should also have a big problem with our Defense Secretary using Signal for his classified emails but, of course, you don’t.

                  1. I can read and my comprehension skills are much better than yours.

“Later that year, a memo was issued to senior Pentagon leadership specifying that Signal was “NOT authorized to access, transmit, process non-public DOD information,” though an exemption from the policy could be requested.
In February, the National Security Agency issued a warning about the app’s security vulnerabilities and stressed that Signal is “not approved to process or store nonpublic unclassified information.”

                  1. I wonder how you are going to feel when he pardons Maxwell. Or are you in the FoxNews corner and believe she is one of Epstein’s victims?

                    1. About the same as Joe pardoning Hunter or are you a lib who thinks he did no wrong?

                    2. I think the pardon of Hunter was wrong. Always have. But, as far as pardons go, I could list about 50 of trump’s and ask you the same thing.

                    3. I’m not aware of any pardons President Biden handed out that he was paid for. Trump’s pardons for $ are very well reported.

                    4. You always want to justify trump’s actions by throwing out a name of someone else who did whatever it was we were talking about. So, it seems, you are ok with committing crimes if they have been done by someone else. That is really hypocritical and nonsense.

                      Here’s one:

In April, President Trump pardoned Paul Walczak, the Florida healthcare executive convicted of tax evasion for stealing nearly $11 million in payroll taxes from the paychecks of doctors and nurses. The jury found him guilty after prosecutors showed he used the money to finance a lavish lifestyle. Walczak is the son of Betsy Fago, a healthcare entrepreneur and Republican Party donor. Trump pardoned Walczak three weeks after Fago attended a million-dollar-a-plate fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago. And he also pardoned or forgave the fine of something like $4 million that he’d have to pay in addition to serving time in jail.

                    5. Because trump is blackmailing the media now by threatening them economically. Look at Paramount. They paid him $16 million dollars and he let their merger go through without a hitch.

                    6. Yeah, really lucky for him and disastrous for the rest of us. He is a drug dealer whose business affected countries all over the world. What was trump’s reason for pardoning him? He says he was unfairly targeted. Jeez, a guy who made over $13 million from dealing drugs and ordered the murders of six people is “unfairly targeted”? If he would have been Black or Brown (and came from a poor family), he would serve the entire sentence.

  46. Cancer Kim Reynolds isn’t running for governor again, why does she need a fund raiser with rich-beyotch MAGAts in Clear Lake?

    1. Johnson better hope there is no evidence of anyone committing child abuse in those files or he will be complicit in their crime.

          1. SHOULD OF SAID…Biden better hope there is no evidence of anyone committing child abuse in files by illegals or he will be complicit in their crime.

            1. Nobody is trying to cover it up. Johnson and the rest of the gutless Republicans are trying to cover up something.

                  1. That is been proven to be false many times over. Why do you keep bringing it up? How can you still support trump knowing what you do?

                    1. Nothing. That was my point. Yes, Biden took a shower with his daughter. There was no sexual abuse. There was no age given. There was no accusation that shows Ashley as a victim. There are over 30+ women who have accused trump of sexually assaulting them. I suspect you think they were all lying.

                    2. Keep up, Ask Hillary if women lie was a reference to all Bill’s lady’s which she condemned and called liars.

                    3. Wow, so you believe the biggest liar the US has even had as President. Sad. I suppose it is mandatory if you are a MAGA, you have to hate women, liberals and immigrants. Believe in God is dependent on your belief on whether or not Jesus was a white man who hated liberals and loved the USA.

                    1. With trump in office, we won’t ever find a “final revealing” on anything. If he doesn’t like the facts, he will fire the messenger, declare the messenger an enemy plant, and make up his own ‘facts’.

  47. Translation: somebody punched in the face. That’s usually how corneas get torn.
Attorney General Pam Bondi pulled out of a high-profile anti-trafficking summit on Wednesday citing a medical issue. Bondi was scheduled to appear at CPAC’s Summit Against Human Trafficking in Washington D.C.
But just before the event was set to begin, Acting Assistant Attorney General Matthew Galeotti announced her absence. “I do have a note from Attorney General Pam Bondi that I wanted to share,” he said, before reading her statement. Bondi said in her statement: “I’m sorry to miss all of my CPAC friends today. Unfortunately, I am recovering from a recently torn cornea, which is preventing me from being with you. I truly wish I was able to join you and support all of the work being done on this critical issue.”

    1. I think she didn’t want to defend the Epstein bs that the trump administration is pushing and she didn’t want to explain why her boss is pushing to abolish a rule that that would require priests to report sexual abuse.

  48. What a whiny, worthless little coward he is. They’re going to be very, very sorry that they set this precedent.
WASHINGTON — House Speaker Mike Johnson is rebuffing pressure to act on the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, instead sending members home early for a month-long break from Washington after the week’s legislative agenda was upended by Republican members who are clamoring for a vote.
Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, said Tuesday morning that he wants to give the White House “space” to release the Epstein information on its own, despite the bipartisan push for legislation that aims to force the release of more documents.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, R-La., stops to answer reporters about calls to release documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, at the Capitol in Washington, July 21.
    J. Scott Applewhite, Associated Press
“There’s no purpose for the Congress to push an administration to do something they’re already doing,” Johnson said at his weekly press conference, his last before lawmakers depart Washington on Wednesday for their traditional August recess.
The speaker’s stance did little to alleviate the intra-party turmoil unfolding on Capitol Hill as many of President Donald Trump’s supporters demand that the administration meet its promises to publicly release a full accounting of the sex trafficking investigation into Epstein, who killed himself in his New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial. Under pressure from right-wing online influencers, as well as voters back home, rank-and-file Republicans are demanding that the House intervene in the matter.

    1. Every president, for the last few decades, has used autopen, including Dump. Presidents have to sign so many things, including millions of greeting cards, that their hands get writer’s cramp X 10.

            1. Dump has used it on the pardons for the dozens of gang members, gang leaders, and other criminals he’s pardoned. And it’s “pardons,” you illiterate d*ck.

                1. One of us has proper writing skills, and it isn’t you. You check the mirror. The only thing coming from you is garbage.

    2. Every person in the Epstein files should be prosecuted. Child abuse is much more important than auto pen signatures.

                1. But they weren’t fixated on Epstein and, as trump says, if there was something in there about him, they would have been released. So, according to trump, there is nothing in there about him or the Dems would have released it so why is he so worried about what is in there?

                    1. We are still waiting for the guy who can release them to do so. I have nothing to do with it.

  49. I real discussion involving the North Iowa Events Center needs to take place. Almost nobody there at it’s fair today(Thursday). More board members then attendees. This whole complex and event just feels old. My family fought me not to go, ended up just one daughter went. This is in serious need of county adjustment. Maybe the county needs to sublet all the buildings. This cannot be profitable. The secretary told me the All Seasons and Olson Buildings are rented only 8% of there times available. The county can do better. Supervisors are so caught up in NIEC bylaws and red tape that makes their only involvement, is giving them more money. Stop their payout. It’s time. They have only land to sell to make any true money. Many good intentions have come and gone out there, many ran off, most received minimal support. Rumors of past GM paying for theirs child’s wedding from hidden money and concession controllers not being honest. Maybe new articles needs to be drawn by County Attorneys and this mess cleaned up. Sad to see what could be and what it has become. CERRO GORDO COUNTY GEERS:

  50. NORTH IOWA FAIR: a truth about Little Texas Group performing… Lead singer, Seals left the band in 1994 and was replaced by Huskins. After a Greatest Hits package, the group disbanded in 1997. Seals went on to record three solo albums, while Rushlow recorded one solo album. Gray, Howell, O’Brien re-established Little Texas in 2004 with new lead singer Steven Troy, who quickly left the band. This is NOT the Little Texas of 1995 fame, NOT even close.

  51. Donald J. Trump

    @realDonaldTrump
What’s going on with my “boys” and, in some cases, “gals?” They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and “selfish people” are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein. For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again. Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration, who conned the World with the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, 51 “Intelligence” Agents, “THE LAPTOP FROM HELL,” and more? They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me, and now my so-called “friends” are playing right into their hands. Why didn’t these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files? If there was ANYTHING in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn’t they use it? They haven’t even given up on the John F. Kennedy or Martin Luther King, Jr. Files. No matter how much success we have had, securing the Border, deporting Criminals, fixing the Economy, Energy Dominance, a Safer World where Iran will not have Nuclear Weapons, it’s never enough for some people. We are about to achieve more in 6 months than any other Administration has achieved in over 100 years, and we have so much more to do. We are saving our Country and, MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, which will continue to be our complete PRIORITY. The Left is imploding! Kash Patel, and the FBI, must be focused on investigating Voter Fraud, Political Corruption, ActBlue, The Rigged and Stolen Election of 2020, and arresting Thugs and Criminals, instead of spending month after month looking at nothing but the same old, Radical Left inspired Documents on Jeffrey Epstein. LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB — SHE’S GREAT! The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024 — That’s what she is looking into as AG, and much more. One year ago our Country was DEAD, now it’s the “HOTTEST” Country anywhere in the World. Let’s keep it that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Now he blames Obama, Clinton, Biden and more for the creation of these files. Maybe there is something in those files that also puts Bondi in peril? She was Florida’s attorney general when Epstein was charged with trafficking and received a slap on the wrist. That would have to go through her office. What is in those files?

      1. Maurene Comey, the Manhattan federal prosecutor who helped lead the criminal cases against Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, was abruptly fired today by the Trump administration.

Geez, wonder why? I guess Ghislaine will be getting that pardon she has asked for. If there is no Epstein file, there is no case against her.

        1. Because she was a bad at her job? One successful task does not outweigh the others.
Hopefully she comes forward and talks.

  52. Trump’s Epstein Meltdown Proves One Thing: He’s Terrified the Truth Will Get Out…
Donald Trump isn’t just avoiding questions about Jeffrey Epstein anymore—he’s melting down over them. During a Cabinet meeting this week, a reporter dared to ask about Epstein’s potential intelligence ties and the missing minute of jailhouse footage.
Trump’s response? A full-on stage 5 freakout. Red-faced, stammering, and wildly off-topic, he accused the reporter of “desecration” and launched into a tantrum that left even his inner circle squirming.
Instead of a calm denial or a coherent explanation, Trump sputtered about how Epstein’s name “shouldn’t even be brought up” and tried to change the subject to Texas flooding—a disaster his own administration helped cause by gutting climate and weather programs.
That’s not what innocent people do. That’s what guilty ones do when they’re cornered.
Meanwhile, Attorney General Pam Bondi, who once said the Epstein client list was “sitting on her desk,” now claims there is no list. A newly leaked DOJ memo insists there’s no blackmail ring, no intelligence ties, and no murder—just a sad, lonely suicide.
And as if to top it off, the tape of Epstein’s final hours is conveniently missing a full minute. A minute that we’re now told gets mysteriously “reset” every night like it’s still 1999. Please.
Even Elon Musk—Trump’s own billionaire buddy—has said out loud what many suspect: that Trump’s name is in the Epstein files, and that’s why they’re still hidden. Let that sink in.
Musk, a man who usually treats truth like a chew toy, flat-out accused his “friend” of being protected by the cover-up. That’s not political noise. That’s the sound of the walls closing in.
And yet, Trump’s supporters will scream “fake news” while ignoring the obvious: if there were nothing to hide, there would be no need to act like this.
There would be no unhinged outbursts, no backpedaling from Bondi, no missing video, and no need to deflect with weather tragedies. There would just be answers. But we’re not getting answers—we’re getting gaslit.
It’s not just about Epstein. It’s about power. It’s about accountability. And it’s about a White House that has repeatedly shown it will protect the rich, the powerful, and the well-connected—no matter how dark their secrets are.
Trump’s reaction this week didn’t just raise eyebrows. It raised alarm bells.

    1. Even Elon Musk—Trump’s own billionaire buddy—has said out loud what many suspect: that Trump’s name is in the Epstein files, and that’s why they’re still hidden. Let that sink in.
Yah the dems would not of exposed that would they?

      1. If it was Biden’s name that was being tied to Epstein you can bet that the list would be made public and our own Chuckles Grassley would be leading the charge.

            1. If there was anything there the dems would have pushed it out and ran it up the flag pole for everyone to see.

              1. I think you are confused. If there was anything there on anybody but trump, the MAGAs would have pushed it out there.

                  1. Yep, another of those things that MAGAs like to say even though it has been proven that Russia was involved with the 2016 election.

                    1. No, that is another one of the signs of a cult. The leader can do no wrong and everything that is shown about him that paints him in a bad light, isn’t true.

                    2. I don’t “say so”. I know so because you guys are not at all ashamed of agreeing with everything he does. Only now, his strongest minions are starting to realize he isn’t what they hoped he was. He is just a charlatan who cares only about himself.

                    3. if you say so
The same Democrats who spent years trying to destroy Trump with the Russia hoax, the Ukraine impeachment, and lawfare campaigns suddenly went quiet about Epstein files during the 2024 election. Hmmmmm

                    4. What does “hmmmm” mean? Most likely they were silent about it because they didn’t think Americans would fall for the same old bs from trump but some Americans see justice as malleable. Justice for trump means absolute immunity from anything he does and for anyone who bows to him, but justice for others depends on their wealth, power and allegiance to trump.

                    5. Supposed to make you think or wonder, but dems are immune to that. Love that “Most likely they were silent about it because they didn’t think Americans would fall for the same old bs from trump but some Americans see justice as malleable. “that mean more lies from the dems?

                    6. Maurene Comey, the Manhattan federal prosecutor who helped lead the criminal cases against Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, was abruptly fired today by the Trump administration.

                    7. The reason she was fired is because her father is James Comey and trump doesn’t want any person who doesn’t adore him to hold a government job.

                    8. He also doesn’t care about their competency or their readiness to do the job. The only requirement is loyalty to him.

  53. The rat desertion of the sinking MAGA ship is accelerating. He votes for the Big Bullsh*t Bill because MAGA threatened him, like they did with everybody to get this garbage passed, then runs like the rodent he is. Starting a business? This ought to be good. There is no business, he’s trying to get a job with some MAGArat billionaire. They don’t need him anymore, so they’ll leave him to twist in the wind like they do everybody else.

Rep. Mark Green, R-Tenn., announced his official resignation from Congress on Friday, a move that was expected but one that could, at least for now, shrink Republicans’ already narrow majority in the House.
“To my constituents across Tennessee’s 7th District—thank you. The trust you put in me is humbling. I will look back fondly on my years of serving as your voice in Washington,” Green wrote in a post on X.
With his resignation, Republicans are down to a 219-212 majority in the House, at least until his seat in the solidly red district is filled.
His resignation will be effective July 20, Fox News reports from a letter Green sent to House Republican leadership.
Green’s resignation is a blow to House Speaker Mike Johnson’s already narrow majority in the lower chamber, a fact that was on stark display this week as he was trying to pass President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.”
Johnson struggled to coalesce his conference around the megabill, and the narrow majority gave him little wiggle room for defections. With Green’s resignation, Johnson’s could face an even more challenging road ahead.
Green, who chairs the Homeland Security Committee, said he was returning to the private sector to start his own business, but did not provide details about the business.

  54. MASON CITY: Briarstone Drive will be closed to through traffic for approximately four days beginning Monday, July 7th. This closure is necessary for street panel repairs on Briarstone Drive, which are part of the City’s annual Street Panel and Curb Replacement Program.

  55. Donald Trump’s Iowa State Fairgrounds speech was one of his most unhinged performances yet, a swirling cocktail of lies, grievance, casual bigotry, and carnival-barker delusion, all delivered with the confidence of a man who knows his crowd will cheer no matter what nonsense comes out of his mouth.

He opened by mocking Joe Biden’s speech patterns, repeating the word “existential” over and over in a slurred impression that would have been embarrassing if it wasn’t so childish. Then, with the seriousness of a dictator announcing a new ministry, he promised to host a UFC fight on the White House lawn as part of his “America 250” celebration, bragging about 25,000 people watching blood sport on federal property while Dana White pockets the pay-per-view cut.

It didn’t get better from there. Trump casually dropped an anti-Semitic slur while complaining about bankers, reminding everyone that he has never met a racist dog whistle he wouldn’t blow for applause. He then proudly declared, “I hate them,” referring to Democrats, insisting that they hate the country, and that he hates them right back. It was an open admission of his brand of politics: petty, angry, and rooted in personal vendetta.

He rambled about hydrogen cars, claiming they are dangerous because when they explode, “you can’t find the body, it’s five blocks away.” This, of course, is complete nonsense, but it drew laughs from a crowd that prefers fear over facts. He paired this with a tirade against electric vehicles, calling the push for EVs “insane,” mocking clean energy as some kind of elitist scam, and sneering at the very idea that Americans might want alternatives to gas-guzzling trucks. It was a perfect snapshot of Trump’s worldview: fear the future, ridicule progress, and stoke cultural resentment over any shift that threatens the fossil-fueled status quo.

At one point, Trump claimed his “big beautiful bill” would save “two billion family farms” from the estate tax, despite there being only about two million farms in the United States, most of which do not pay the estate tax at all. The real number might as well have been two billion unicorns for all the accuracy it had.

He bizarrely claimed that Iran called him to ask permission to launch missiles at a U.S. base because, according to Trump, they needed to “save face” after the U.S. bombed them, and that he politely told them, “Go ahead.” In Trump’s telling, Iran, a geopolitical adversary, respectfully asked him for a hall pass to attack American forces so they wouldn’t look weak, and he graciously obliged. This is not how diplomacy works, but it sounded tough in the retelling, which is all that matters to him and the crowd that roared along, eager to believe that foreign policy is just another reality TV flex where Trump is the baddest man in the room.

Trump promised that the bill would eliminate taxes on Social Security, which is simply not true. No such provision exists in the bill, and seniors should not hold their breath waiting for this fantasy to materialize.

Then came his climate denial routine. Trump argued that because it didn’t rain during his “parade” in Washington, climate change must be fake. He added that soldiers were marching down “Fifth Avenue in DC,” a street that does not exist, but this geographical error was the least of his problems. His grasp of climate science remains about as firm as his grasp of reality.

He proudly declared that his bill would fund statues of “great Americans,” joking that the crowd “better choose me.” The prospect of Trump building statues of himself in a taxpayer-funded hero garden sounds like something out of North Korea, but it’s the kind of delusion that plays well in the MAGA ecosystem.

In one of the more chilling moments, Trump suggested that farmers should get to “vouch” for immigrant workers, describing them as people who “bend over all day,” hinting at a system where immigrants’ rights and futures would depend on the personal approval of farm owners. It was plantation logic repackaged for modern authoritarianism. It was, in fact, disgusting!

He capped it all off by claiming he “saved Los Angeles” from being burned down during protests by sending in the National Guard, a statement so detached from reality it’s hard to know where to start. LA was not on the verge of destruction, and the National Guard was not the decisive savior he pretends it was.

He also added that he “saved Los Angeles” by diverting water from Northern to Southern California to stop fires, boasting about ordering water released that “they weren’t letting flow.” The reality: California’s water system is not “plumbed” for a president to heroically turn a valve and flood Los Angeles with water. The water he ordered released bypassed environmental protections and ended up wasted, flowing out to sea while doing nothing to stop fires or save homes. It was another cheap brag in a speech full of them, based on a fundamental misunderstanding of how the state’s water system works.

Throughout, Trump repeated the same lies, boasted about the same imagined victories, and spewed the same conspiracies that have become his political brand. The Iowa crowd roared, not because the words meant anything, but because Trump is a performer and his audience came for the show.

It would all be funny if it wasn’t so dangerous. This speech was a reminder that Trump’s politics are built on cultish grievance, personal vengeance, and the promise of a strongman spectacle that would replace democratic institutions with his personal brand of authoritarian pageantry. It was a speech designed not to inform, but to inflame, to distract, and to keep the faithful loyal as he drags American politics deeper into the mud.

  56. Perverts all, every damned one of them.
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Televangelist Jimmy Swaggart, who became a household name amassing an enormous following and multimillion-dollar ministry only to be undone by his penchant for prostitutes, has died.
Swaggart died decades after his once vast audience dwindled and his name became a punchline on late night television. His death was announced Tuesday on his public Facebook page. A cause wasn’t immediately given, though at 90 he had been in poor health, having suffered cardiac arrest last month.
The Louisiana native was best known for being a captivating Pentecostal preacher with a massive following before being caught on camera with a prostitute in New Orleans in 1988, one of a string of successful TV preachers brought down in the 1980s and 1990s by sex scandals. He continued preaching for decades, but with a reduced audience.
Swaggart encapsulated his downfall in a tearful 1988 sermon, in which he wept and apologized but made no reference to his connection to a prostitute.
“I have sinned against you,” Swaggart told parishioners nationwide. “I beg you to forgive me.”
He announced his resignation from the Assemblies of God later that year, shortly after the church said it was defrocking him for rejecting punishment it had ordered for “moral failure.” The church had wanted him to undergo a two-year rehabilitation program, including not preaching for a full year.

    1. “And why is he still in jail? Why has he not been bailed out? By the way, if some amazing patriot out there in San Francisco or the Bay Area wants to be a midterm hero, someone should go and bail this guy out… Bail him out and then go ask him some questions.”
