RURAL MASON CITY – A Mason City woman had a bad night Monday when she rolled her Volvo then found herself in the slammer on felony drunk driving charges.
At about 8:45 PM on Monday, June 1, 2020, Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover accident West of Mallard Avenue on 250th Street. Lindsey Rae Schade, age 29 of Mason City, was driving a 2005 Volvo, Eastbound on 250th Street, when she lost control on the gravel roadway and spun around on the road. Schade entered the North ditch and her vehicle rolled onto its top, sustaining major damage. Schade received minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene by Mason City Fire medics. Schade was then arrested and charged with OWI 3rd offense, a Class D Felony, and fail to maintain control, a simple misdemeanor.
Schade was transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
Deputies were assisted by the Mason City Fire Department.
Schade was convicted of second-offense drunk driving in 2018 after she was caught in 2017.
Schade was guilty of first-offense drunk driving earlier in 2017.
