
The incident began around 7:00 PM when an officer was dispatched to a local business in Humboldt following reports of a person with active warrants out of Hamilton County. While the suspect was not initially found at the business, a Humboldt officer eventually located the individual inside a vehicle and requested assistance from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon making contact, officers observed movement inside the vehicle and spotted drug paraphernalia in plain sight. According to a media release, the suspect initially refused to exit the vehicle but was eventually taken into custody without further incident.
A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a significant amount of evidence, including narcotics, additional drug paraphernalia, and mail and credit cards belonging to several other individuals. Due to the volume of evidence related to both drug possession and potential identity theft or fraud, authorities seized the vehicle as part of the ongoing investigation.
Humboldt Police stated that no names or addresses are being released at this time. The department was assisted by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office during the arrest and search.
