Teresa A. Borg, age 58, of Forest City, IA, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA.

Visitation for Teresa will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Schott Funeral Homes in Forest City.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the First Baptist Church in Forest City, with Pastor Eric Weaver officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow services at the First Baptist Cemetery in Forest City.

Teresa Ann Borg was born August 8, 1967, in Forest City, IA, to parents Tex and Iletha (Kamp) Borg. She grew up on a farm outside of Forest City where she enjoyed taking care of her cats – a love that continued throughout her entire life. She graduated from Forest City High School in 1985.

On December 19, 1987, she was united in marriage to Jeff Otis at St. James Catholic Church in Forest City, IA. The couple would later divorce, but would remaining close friends throughout their separation and later rekindled their relationship later in life, spending the last 10 years of her life united together again.

Teresa worked many years cleaning local homes and businesses in the Forest City area. Many of her clients became friends, her kind and giving giving had her always more than willing to help out however she could. She enjoyed collecting Barbie’s and also and dressing in Harley Davidson clothing – quite the contrast! She never missed watching a Sunday NASCAR race on TV, with Chase Elliott being her favorite driver, and she also loved the Kansas City Chiefs football team. She had a passionate love for cats that she developed at a very young age and carried throughout her entire life, always being found loving and cuddling on at least one furry feline.

Teresa was a kind hearted, bubbly, outgoing person that brought life to the room the instant she arrived and was an amazing mother and grandmother, always making her family her top priority. She was an excellent cook and baker, something that was passed down to her from her mother and best friend Iletha. Her kind and giving heart had her always more than willing to help out however she could. Above all, she enjoyed the time she spent bonding and playing with her 4 grandchildren.

Surviving members of her family include her eldest son, Anthony Otis, his wife, Autumn and their children, her grandchildren, Misha, Scarlett, Luminara, and Revan Otis; her youngest son, Andrew Frazee; life partner, Jeff Otis; brother, Dale Borg, his wife Tanya and their daughter, her niece, Melissa; as well as many other extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by both parents, Tex and Iletha Borg; as well as both sets of grandparents.
