CLOSED MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL
The City Council of the City of Mason City, Iowa, met in closed session pursuant to law and rules of said Council, in the 1st Floor Boardroom of Mason City Public Library, at 6:46 P.M., on September 5, 2023. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor and on roll being called there were present, Bill Schickel, Mayor in the Chair, and the following Council Members: Adams, Lee, Jaszewski, Masson. Absent: Symonds.
CLOSED SESSION: The Mayor noted the Council had entered into Closed Session upon an affirmative vote during the open session of a Special Council Meeting pursuant to Chapter 21.5.1(i), Code of Iowa to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual requests a closed session (City Administrator Annual Evaluation).
The matter was discussed.
Motion, Lee; 2nd, Adams that Council return to open session at 6:54 P.M.: AYES: All (Motion carried.)

The City Council of the City of Mason City, Iowa, met in special session pursuant to law and rules of said Council, in the Mason City Room of the Public Library at 6:46 P.M., on September 5, 2023. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor and on roll being called there were present, Bill Schickel, Mayor in the Chair, and the following Council Members: Lee, Adams, Jaszewski, Masson. Absent: Symonds.
Adopt Agenda: Motion, Masson; 2nd, Lee that the agenda be adopted. AYES: All (Motion carried.)
