November 30, 1942 — February 28, 2026

Jennette Mary Conn (maiden name Schrank), 83, of Rock Falls, passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2026. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Ave. with Keith Benhart officiating. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Rudd, Iowa at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to the family of Jennette Conn.

Born on November 30, 1942, to Roger and Edna Schrank in Cedar Falls, Jennette spent most of her life on her beloved farm near Rock Falls. The farm was not just where she lived — it was her heart. It was where memories were made, children were raised, gardens were planted, and horses ran beneath the wide Iowa sky.

Jennette was a dedicated nurse for many years and truly loved her work. Caring for others was not just her profession but a reflection of who she was — compassionate, steady, and giving. She took pride in helping those in need and formed many lasting connections throughout her career.

She had a deep love for riding horses, especially her favorite, Angel. Riding brought her joy and freedom and was one of her greatest passions. She also loved gardening, carefully tending both vegetables and flowers, finding peace and pride in nurturing what she planted.

Above all, Jennette loved her family. Nothing made her happier than having her children and grandchildren gathered together at the farm. The laughter, shared meals, and simple moments together were her greatest treasures.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Dodge and Loy Conn; and her brother, Merle Schrank.

Jennette is lovingly remembered by her children: Victoria (Keith) Benhart, Monica (Chris Bessman) Dodge, Lee ( Sarah) Dodge, and Grace (Butch Wersinger) Dodge; her sister, Evelyn Koester; and her cherished grandchildren: Stephanie Benhart; Cody (Hannah) Benhart; Emma (Aiden) Pierson; Adam (Pricila) Benhart; Phoebe Benhart; Rafe Bessman; Aaliyah Dodge; Parker Dodge; Cassidy (Gordon) Abkes; and Colton (Kelli) Wersinger; and her great-grandchildren: Bowen Benhart; Brady Abkes; Hayden Abkes; Talon Abkes; Otto Wersinger; and Waylon Wersinger.

Jennette’s legacy is one of strength, devotion, compassion, and deep roots. Her love will live on in the land she cared for, the patients she served, the horses she rode, the gardens she tended, and in the hearts of her family who will forever carry her memory.
