MILWAUKEE – This notorious, felonious, Democrat judge who blatantly committed a serious crime and was caught red-handed is totally unashamed of her villainy but has resigned from the bench as she awaits sentencing.

On January 3, 2026, Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan submitted her resignation to Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers. Her resignation followed a federal felony conviction for obstruction and mounting pressure from state lawmakers.

Dugan requested that her resignation take immediate effect. In her letter, Dugan stated she resigned to spare her court from a “partisan fight” and to ensure citizens have an active judge on the bench rather than leaving the seat’s fate to the state legislature. Her announcement came after Wisconsin Assembly Republicans, led by Speaker Robin Vos, vowed to initiate impeachment proceedings unless she resigned immediately following her December 2025 conviction.

Governor Evers’ office confirmed receipt of the letter and stated he will work to appoint a successor for Branch 31 “without delay”.

As NIT previously reported, on December 2025, a federal jury found Dugan guilty of felony obstruction. She was acquitted of a misdemeanor charge of concealing an individual from arrest. The case stemmed from an April 2025 event where Dugan assisted a man, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz (pictured at top left – Dugan is at right), in evading Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at the Milwaukee County Courthouse by leading him out through a private jury door.

Although convicted, Dugan has not yet been sentenced and is currently appealing the verdict. She faces a maximum of five years in federal prison.

Dugan had served on the bench since 2016 but had been suspended with pay by the Wisconsin Supreme Court since her indictment in early 2025.
