STILLWATER, OK – The Iowa State Cyclones wrapped up their regular season Saturday with a victory inside Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma, over the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 20-13.

The Cyclone defense held Oklahoma State to 229 yards, the third time ISU has held a team to less than 300 yards of total offense and the first time doing so since holding Iowa to 214 on Sept. 6. Iowa State finished with a season-high nine tackles for loss, resulting in negative 34 yards.

Rocco Becht

Iowa State quarterback Rocco Becht started his 39th-straight game at quarterback, tied for the longest active streak on the team with Tyler Miller. It is the longest active streak among Big 12 quarterbacks and fourth-longest in the nation among quarterbacks. He tossed a 16-yard touchdown pass to Chase Sowell, his 16th of the season and 64th of his career. Becht earned his 26th career victory, the most by any active Big 12 quarterback and tied for the fourth most among active FBS quarterbacks.

Becht is now 23-of-30 (76.7 percent) passing on fourth down in his career after a 24-yard completion to Benjamin Brahmer in the fourth quarter. In the game, he rushed the ball 10 times, his third game this season with double-digit carries.

Kicker Kyle Konrardy connected on both field goal attempts, hitting from 45 and 34 yards. He is now 22-of-23 inside
40 yards in his career and 26-of-29 from inside 45 yards in his career.

Oklahoma State owns a 34-22-3 all-time lead in the series, but the Cyclones have won three of the last four meetings.

Iowa State has won just three times in Stillwater in the last 25 years, where the Cyclones are 8-19-2 all-time. It was the first win in Stillwater since 2018.

Matt Campbell is now 72-55 at Iowa State and 107-70 overall as a head coach.

Campbell earned his 50th Big 12 victory, joining Bob Stoops, Bill Snyder, Mike Gundy and Mack Brown as the only coaches to do so.

This is the third time in school history Iowa State has won at least eight games in consecutive seasons (1976-78 and 2017-18). Iowa State won its eighth game for just the 13th time in the program’s 134 seasons. It is the fifth
time doing so under Campbell.

ISU finished Big 12 play 5-4, earning a winning record for the eighth time in 10 seasons under Campbell. Prior to his arrival in Ames, ISU had just one winning conference season in 20 years.

The Cyclones have not been shutout for 189 games, a streak that dates back to 2010.

ISU is 55-8 when leading at the half under Campbell.

Iowa State has 26 wins since the start of 2023, the most in a three-year span in school history.

Previously, Iowa State’s best was 24 from 1976-78 and 2018-20.

The Cyclones are 19-7 (.731) since the start of the 2024 season, tied for the 11th most wins in FBS during that span.

ISU is 13-6 in its last 19 road games, including a 10-4 record against Big 12 schools.

Iowa State is 25-10 in its last 35 games.
