CHARLES CITY – A Charles City woman is accused of lurid actions upon a child, and police tracked the suspect down in a residential neighborhood on a warrant and took her to jail.

On November 13, 2025, Charles City police lodged a charge of LASCIVIOUS CONDUCT WITH A MINOR (a serious misdemeanor) in Floyd county court against 40-year-old Christina True of Charles City. A woman judge immediately issued an arrest warrant for True, that same day. By 4:08 PM yet that same afternoon, Charles City police officers went to the 1700 block of Rolfing Street, with the warrant, and located True. She was arrested and taken to the Floyd county jail.

Records show True (pictured at top) allegedly committed a heinous act on July 1, 2024, and is accused of violating Iowa code 709.14(3)(a)(2), which states:

709.14 Lascivious conduct with a minor… 3. a. It is unlawful for a person eighteen years of age or older who is in a position of authority over a minor to perform any of the following acts with that minor, with or without consent, for the purpose of arousing or satisfying the sexual desires of either of them:
(1) Fondle or touch the inner thigh, groin, buttock, anus, or breast of the minor.

True was evidently briefly held on $1,000 bond, posted that, and was released from jail. Records do not show a court date set, yet.
