CHARLES CITY – This Charles City woman is accused of slamming her blue Chrysler van into a parked pickup truck and fleeing the scene, but cops tracked her down and delivered sour comeuppance.
According to Charles City police, a hit-and-run accident took place on the evening of October 4, 2025. At 6:19 PM, officers were called to the 400 block of 3rd Avenue to investigate the collision. They say a blue Chrysler Town & Country van driven by 60-year-old Teresa Di Meo of Charles City was heading southbound and struck a gray Chevy Silverado registered to Brenda Nordman of Charles City, wich was parked on the side street.
Police tracked down Di Meo, who had apparently left the scene of the collision, and cited her for:

LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT
According to records, Di Meo pled guilty on October 29 to LEAVE SCENE OF ACCIDENT – FAIL TO PROVIDE AID OR INFORMATION and was ordered to pay $60 in court costs and perform 17 hours of community service within the next 90 days. Notice of her conviction was sent to the DOT. She was also ordered to pay $210.25 for the violation of FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL.
The trouble for Di Meo gets worse. She was evidently stopped back in August for other traffic shenanigans. Di Meo was ticketed for DRIVING ON WRONG SIDE OF TWO WAY HIGHWAY in Floyd county on August 18. She pled guilty and was ordered to perform 17 hours of community service within the next 90 days and pay $55 in court costs.
