Cynthia Ellingson, 69, of Cedar Falls, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025 at her home in Cedar Falls surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice.
Born on July 27, 1955 in Iowa Falls, Cindy was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. In 1979, Cindy married Ron Ellingson. Together, they settled in Wellsburg and later retired in Cedar Falls.
In her youth, Cindy was a proud Girl Scout, earning the First Class pin, and loved countless activities with friends. She had a passion for nursing and a heartfelt dedication to caring for her patients. Cindy was devoted to her family, always offering love and support, sharing her warmth through home-cooked meals and creating cherished memories together.
She leaves behind her son, Ryan (Kelly) Ellingson; stepson, Chad (Teresa) Ellingson; adored grandchildren, Lily, Wyatt and Lane; brothers, Rick (Kathy) Lyman, Randy (Edna) Lyman and Rob (Robin) Lyman; stepsisters, Denise (Chris) Richtsmeier and Cindy Beving and many nieces and nephews. Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Ellingson; parents, Jim Lyman, Betty and Russ Beving.
Cindy’s smile and memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. A private burial service will be held followed by a celebration of Cindy’s life on Saturday June 7, 2025 from 10:30 AM -1:00 PM at the Scenic City Empress Boat Club in Iowa Falls. Friends are welcome.
