Darwin D. Dean (74) went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 14,2025, in Fayette, IA, Maple Crest Nursing Home.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Fayette Community Church with Rev. Julie Ahrens officiating. Visitation will precede services at the Church starting at 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be given to: Maple Crest Manor, 100 Bolger Drive, Fayette, IA. 52142-9762, in Darwin Dean’s name.
He was born February 12,1951, in Oelwein to Delbert and Hila (Martens) Dean. Darwin worked as a typewriter technician in New Hampton IA. He had bicycle shop in his garage. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, alumni of Upper Iowa University, and member of Big Rock Country Club. Darwin loved playing golf, bowling, and playing cards. You could always find him in attendance at Upper Iowa University football, men and woman basketball, and all other women sports. He loved to spend time with his family and was loved by all.
Darwin is survived by his siblings, Danny Dean of Sumner IA, Denise Johnson of Spokane, WA, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dennis Dean, and other family members.
