BOONE, IOWA – An Iowa man received decades in prison for felony crimes including kidnapping – but could be out much sooner.

Caleb Conrad Hammer, age 34 of Boone, Iowa, was sentenced by the District Court following guilty pleas to Kidnapping 3rd, two counts of Willful Injury, all Class C Felonies as a Habitual Offender; and, Invasion of Privacy, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. The defendant was sentenced to 47 years in prison, with a mandatory minimum of 9 years before being eligible for parole.

Hammer (pictured at top) was also ordered to 10 years on the Sex Offender Registry and special parole.

The case was investigated by the Boone Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations.
