IOWA CITY – Liberal Senator Bernie Sanders is bringing his battle against the Oligarchs now ruling America to Iowa tonight, and champion of the rich Kim Reynolds is ripping him for “owning 3 houses”.
Iowa City, a hot bed for socialist and left-leaning ideals, is playing host to the outspoken Senator from Vermont tonight. He will be in Iowa as part of his “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here” campaign. He will speak in Iowa City on February 22 after a stop on Omaha the previous day.
Sanders, an Independent, is launching a new national campaign, titled “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here,” which will focus on the takeover of the national government by billionaires and large corporations, and the country’s move toward authoritarianism. The tour will target working class districts won by President Biden in 2020 and a Republican House member in 2024.
For the first leg of the tour, Senator Sanders will hold town halls in Omaha and Iowa City, where he will discuss the most pressing issues facing working class people, and outline how Americans can fight back against President Trump and Elon Musk, who are quickly moving the country toward authoritarianism, oligarchy, and kleptocracy.
According to Sanders, “Today, the oligarchs and the billionaire class are getting richer and richer and have more and more power. Meanwhile, 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck and most of our people are struggling to pay for health care, childcare, and housing. This country belongs to all of us, not just the few. We must fight back.”
These kind of statements are total torture to the rich and entitled, especially Kim Reynolds, who only became Governor of Iowa in the first place because Terry Branstad resigned to go to China, thereby making his Lt. Governor, Reynolds, the new Governor.
The thin-skinned Kim Reynolds apparently today is in now mood for opinions that fly in the face of her MAGA/Trump worship, and she let Sanders know what she thinks of him.
