The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa,
met in regular session pursuant to adjournment. Present:
Chairperson Lori Meacham Ginapp, Vice Chairperson
Chris Watts, Supervisor Casey Callanan, and various
members of the public.
Chairperson Meacham Ginapp convened the meeting at
10:00 a.m.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve today’s
agenda and minutes for the September 30, 2024 regular
session. Motion passed unanimously.
Public comment session was held.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve claims.
Motion passed unanimously.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to approve
Change Order #1 for Drainage District 57 and authorize
the Chair to sign. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to schedule the
public hearing to Consider Repair to Drainage District 35
for Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 10:15 a.m. Motion
passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve the
Sheriff’s Monthly Report of Fees. Motion passed
unanimously.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to approve the
Recorder’s Quarterly Report of Fees. Motion passed
unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve the
FY24 USDA Annual Report for Swaledale Sanitary Sewer.
Motion passed unanimously.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding to adopt
Resolution 2024-72A, WHEREAS, the Cerro Gordo
County Planning & Zoning Commission, after study, has
recommended that the change of zoning classification of
a certain area hereinafter described, upon the application
of Michael J. Broers Revocable Trust, be made, and
WHEREAS, the final public hearing has been held with
notice as required by law. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED by the Cerro Gordo County Board of
Supervisors that Ordinance No. 15, Article 5.2, of the
Zoning Ordinance of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, is hereby
amended by changing the district boundaries thereof so
as to change the classification of the following described
property from the A-1 Agricultural District to the A-2
Agricultural Residence District on the following described
real estate, to wit:
Lot 2, Broers First Subdivision, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa
Motion passed unanimously.
County Engineer Billings provided an update.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to approve reports
from the Environmental Health Service Manager
concerning Manure Management Plan Update for Indigo
Family Farms – Ashley’s Farm (site #59284) and forward
to the DNR. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to move the
November 4, 2024 Regular Session Meeting to November
7, 2024. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to adjourn at
10:07 a.m. Motion passed unanimously.
