She loved to shop, spend time in the sun, and read books covering a variety of topics. She enjoyed writing poetry and watching old movies. She especially loved the years she lived by the Cedar River.

She is survived by her three children, Alan (Joyce) Scholle of Cedar Falls, Mike (Jeanne) Kapler of Waterloo, and Ted Kapler of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Timothy Scholle, Danette Stille, and Rebekah Nading; three great-grandchildren; a niece; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Paulette Doty, and former husbands.

The family would like to thank the staff at Riverside Senior Living, Chautauqua Guest Homes, and St. Croix Hospice for the love, support, and care they provided to her.

A graveside service at the Roseville Catholic Cemetery will be held at a later date.
