DES MOINES – As the frigid Midwestern breezes and equally chilly voters sent third-place Nikki Haley limping out of Iowa, the former UN ambassador blasted the GOP’s clear choice for President, proclaiming “he can’t hide.”

The victory was so decisive that only minutes after a tiny faction of Iowa Republicans were stuffing pieces of paper with hand-written names into sacks to impossibly be accurately counted by someone, Donald Trump was anointed the big winner in the Iowa Caucus. But Nikki Haley, a distant third place finisher, was having none of it.

Just hours after her lopsided loss, Haley boldly took the keyboard to tweet that Trump is being hunted.

in all fairness, Donald Trump really doesn’t appear physically able to duck anything.

“We’ve had five great debates in this campaign,” Haley lamented. “Unfortunately, Donald Trump has ducked all of them.” She seems to believe that had she had the chance to debate Donald Trump, this outcome would somehow be different.  Anyone who has watched Trump debate knows that he likely would have made minced meat of her using his tactic of taunting his opponents like a third grader.

“He has nowhere left to hide,” she told her meager audience, striking a tone she rarely if ever used before the caucuses, when it might have mattered. “The next debate I do will either be with Donald Trump or with Joe Biden. I look forward to it.”

Yes, that should be a rip-roaring good time, listening to Haley and Trump declare that America is dead and failing, and going totally negative so that Americans can be frightened into voting against their own best interests.  However, the odds of Trump debating anyone but Joe Biden are pretty slim as long as he keeps crushing these pretenders, like Haley. The race for the GOP nomination will be much clearer after next Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary.
