RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Clear Lake man was hurt this morning when the tractor he was driving while mowing grass overturned in a ditch.
On August 21, 2023, at approximately 9:35 AM, the Cerro Gordo Sheriff’s Office responded to 335th Street and Eagle Avenue for a single vehicle collision. The driver, 87-year-old Jack Ouverson of Clear Lake, was driving a 2000 New Holland tractor west on 335th Street. It was determined the driver was mowing the ditch line when his tractor overturned in the ditch. The driver was treated for possible injuries, but was not transported.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Fertile Fire Department, the Mason City Fire Department and the Iowa State Patrol.
