SAC COUNTY, IOWA – A Northern Iowa man was injured and his Harley Davidson motorcycle wrecked in a deer collision.
Tuesday morning August 2, 2022, the sheriff’s office investigated a motorcycle vs deer accident on M-54 about 7 miles north of Sac City.
At 1:22AM, Kelly Peterson age 45 of Lake View, Iowa, was traveling south on M-54 (Sierra Ave), when a deer ran on to the roadway and in the path of Peterson. Peterson was thrown from the 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was transported by ambulance to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake with multiple non-life threating injuries.
The Harley Davidson motorcycle ended up in the east ditch and sustained an estimated $5000.00 in damages.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
