RURAL MASON CITY – A Mason City woman crashed her motorcycle Saturday evening and was taken to the hospital with injuries.
On June 25, 2022 at about 5:30 PM, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle motorcycle accident at 305th Street and Raven Avenue, northeast of Mason City. Alisha Heinzerling, age 37 of Mason City, was traveling westbound on her 2013 Honda V2B motorcycle when she lost control on a curve and went into the ditch. Heinzerling was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, authorities say.
As a result, Heinzerling was transported to Mercy One in Mason City for her injuries by Mason City fire medics.
The accident remains under investigation.
Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Mason City Fire Department and the Iowa State Patrol.
