CHICKASAW COUNTY – A Nashua man is dead after a collision with semi.
An auto accident occurred in Chickasaw county on September 15, 2021, at about 2:48 PM at Highway 63 and the Highway 18 exit to Fredericksburg. Thomas J. Kolodziej, age 68 of Nashua, was driving his 2016 Hyundai Accent, exiting Highway 63 onto Highway 18 when, according to the Iowa State Patrol, he failed to yield to a stop sign. His Accent was hit broadside by a eastbound semi driven by 50-year-old Jason J. Woodring of Fredericksburg.
Kolodziej was killed in the collision.
The accident remains under investigation.
