FORT DODGE – A Fort Dodge man was chased by cops due to a tinted window violation, then shot himself.
On May 9th, 2021, at about 2:44 pm, a Trooper with the Iowa State Patrol stopped a gold 2012 Chevy Impala in Carroll, Iowa for a tinted window violation. After making contact with the driver, the Trooper requested a K-9. The K-9 indicated on the outside of the vehicle and Troopers asked the driver to step out of the vehicle. The driver then sped off, leading Troopers on a chase from Carroll to Fort Dodge, a distance of approximately 60 miles, at speeds over 100 mph at times.
As the driver approached Fort Dodge on Old Highway 20 near Highway 169, the Iowa State Patrol made intentional vehicle contact with the fleeing car. The driver went into the ditch ending the pursuit. Troopers approached the vehicle and found the driver with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A loaded .45 caliber handgun was recovered next to the driver in the vehicle. The driver was identified as Isiah Christopher Mosely, age 18, of Fort Dodge, Iowa. Mosely was transported to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa where he is being treated for his injuries.
Iowa news reports indicate Mosely has been charged and convicted of a range of serious crimes in the past, including attempted murder in 2014 when he shot his uncle.

When compared to other first world nations, using the same standards, we actually have less.
When these other countries put out their numbers, they take out a lot of things, such as suicide, self inflicted wounds, and accidental discharges from their numbers. There are more things that get subtracted to get to the number the the limp d-ed left uses to bitch about the high number of incidence in the US. They know it is disingenuous to tout these numbers for their agenda, but, hey the American people are lazy and will follow without checking for themselves.

State troopers have a tough job, but a high speed chase for tinted windows and maybe a little meth. Why not let him go and just stop him on another day when you can plan ahead for extra help. The windows will still be tinted. Already had the plate number. Why put so many innocent people at risk.
Cuz car chases are fun as fvck! And they have a license to do whatever they want with that badge. All well. Kid sounded like an extremely disturbed individual with an violent past. Probably saved lives when he pulled that trigger. It’s sad and shitty but it is what it is.
