MASON CITY – NIACC’s McKelary Robertson was selected to the all-NJCAA Region XI Division II first team.
Robertson, a 6-0 sophomore guard from Woodbury, Minn., was one of eight players named to the all-region first team. DMACC and Kirkwood both landed two players on the first team.
It is the third straight season that a NIACC men’s basketball player has been selected to the all-region first team. NIACC’s Deundra Roberson and Quentin Hardrict were both first-team selections in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.
Robertson averaged 18.7 points per game (429 points) to lead the Trojans in scoring. Robertson averaged 5.3 points per game as a freshman.
Robertson also led the Trojans with 60 3-point goals, 71 assists and 23 steals. The 60 3-point goals is tied for 21st on NIACC’s all-time single-season list.
NIACC freshman Bradley Andrews, who is from Charles City, was an honorable mention all-region selection.
Andrews averaged 9.3 points per game. He connected on 31 3-point goals, grabbed 90 rebounds and blocked 14 shots.
