Women’s College Basketball: Iowa 82, Michigan State 86

EAST LANSING, MI – Iowa dropped a road game to conference for Michigan State Saturday, 86-82.

Iowa Freshman Caitlin Clark posted her third 30-point game leading the Hawkeyes with a career-high 35 points. Clark added seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and a steal to fill her stat line. Clark (35) and junior Monika Czinano (24) scored in double figures for the fifth consecutive game.

Sophomore McKenna Warnock led the Hawkeyes with 12 rebounds and tied her career-assist record (6).

Iowa shot 26-of-28 from the free-throw line, shooting 92.9 percent – the highest free-throw percentage by the Hawkeyes since they shot 12-of-13 against Penn State (Feb. 22, 20). Clark shot a perfect 9-for-9.

Former Mason City Mohawk Megan Meyer played 5:56 in the game and missed her only shot, bu scored two points on free throws.  She also snared one rebound and one assist.

Iowa hits the road to play Ohio State inside Covelli Center on Saturday. Tipoff is yet to be announced.
