MASON CITY – The beer may be set to flow at Mason City’s fancy new hockey arena as the City is seeking concessions workers now.
The City of Mason City this week announced new job postings on its website for Arena Concessions Staff. The shiny new multi-million dollar hockey palace has been essentially mothballed for months as the dreaded Coronavirus ravaged America – and numbers in Iowa still seem high. But the City is moving ahead with plans to get staffed in possible anticipation for events, concerts and hockey games.
Arena concessions staff are offered a competitive wage of $8.00 per hour. This is above the state’s minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. Hours area varied, the City says on the job listing, and days could be Friday – Sunday, between 5.5 – 25 hours/week. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older, and positions will be filled as qualified applications are received.
You can downloand an application here and then email it to jobs@masoncity.net.
