MASON CITY – NIT has learned this morning that the Hawkeye Harvest food bank suffered a burglary.

“Someone broke in to the shed at Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank and stole a snow thrower and two lawnmowers,” volunteer Ozzie Ohl reported.

“That’s the last thing we need to spend money on now to replace those stolen items.”

Two mowers and a snowblower were stolen from a locked shed sometime after Tuesday evening. This includes an orange and black cordless lawn mower, a red push mower and a red snowblower.

Mr. Ohl hoped that “maybe someone will come forward to find those. If not maybe some good samaritans will help us out.”

The Hawkeye Harvest food bank can be reached at (641) 424-3073 and is located at 122 S Adams Avenue in Mason City.

  1. weak minds can be easily deceived, also fear is there tool to create mind control – I hear , see and read a lot of stress, uncertainty, drama and fear, yet none asking hard questions or verification of this imaginary fantasy virus, viruses do no transfer the way they are claiming – truth has zero agenda – these people have an agenda

  2. Wait till the Los Angeles food riots. Military control. This is a once in a life time event. Shelter in place.

  3. What kind of stupid rat steals from the Food Bank? Oh…of course… a stupid rat. I hope they get ‘dimed on’
