CHARLES CITY – A Charles City woman who was accused of a felony domestic assault last year but pled guilty to a lesser crime was arrested again recently after another domestic incident.
Charles City police were called just before 8 PM on the evening of March 20 to a residence at the 1200 block of North Grand Avenue for a disturbance. Officers arrives and after an investigation, arrested 31-year-old Kelsi Patten of Charles City on a charge of domestic abuse causing injury. Patten was jailed and soon released, pending an arraignment on April 25.
Patten was arrested last October after Charles City police investigated a previous domestic incident that took place on September 19, 2016. She was charged with felony domestic abuse assault causing strangulation. She later pled guilty only disorderly conduct / fight or violent behavior and was ordered to pay $309.69 in fines and court fees.
Back in 2011, Patten was charged with assault, but in another plea deal, pled guilty only to disorderly conduct / fight or violent behavior. She paid $406.95 in fines and court fees in that case.
Her kids are with her not the dead beat dad thats with druggie after druggie and hasn’t supported his kids for 8 months. “The strangulation” was when he had me pinned against the garage and i grabbed his neck to get him away then filed a restraining order to get him to stay away (and not press charges because he has had domestics in the past and i wanted support from him with 7 kids) from my house because i was sick of it for years look at his record back to 2003 and in retaliation he went and claimed domestic when he got served with the restraning order. The march 20th i slapped him because he got in my face making fun of me for having a stroke and my talking. Artices can make it alot worse then things really are. Why dont u say poor kids about there dad not answering his phone to them or not paying for any of there instruments or half the van payment that takes them around for over three monthes having heard there dad tell there mom he hopes she dies during child birth or has another stroke and hear attack. None of u really know me so carry on with your dramafull lifes.
Ok Kelsi or who ever you are. Everyone has the right to voice an opinion. It’s called the freedom of speech. The bottom line is that you have two feet and two legs. That means you can run away and not hit or choke anyone. Unless your defending your self or another, you have no right to put your hands on anyone. Leave him! Why do you want to be with someone with so many issues and someone who is so cold!
