NEW YORK – President-elect Donald J. Trump had some sobering, tough words for businesses who attempt to abandon the U.S. and fire workers, promising “retribution or consequence” for offenders.
“The U.S. is going to substantialy reduce taxes and regulations on businesses, but any business that leaves our country for another country, fires its employees, builds a new factory or plant in the other country, and then thinks it will sell its product back into the U.S. …… without retribution or consequence, is WRONG!” Mr. Trump announced Sunday.
Going a step further, he promised tough measures for businesses who attempt to abandon the United States and harm workers.
“There will be a tax on our soon to be strong border of 35% for these companies wanting to sell their product, cars, A.C. units etc., back across the border. This tax will make leaving financially difficult, but…..these companies are able to move between all 50 states, with no tax or tariff being charged.
“Please be forewarned prior to making a very expensive mistake!” The Republican President-elect cautioned. “THE UNITED STATES IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!”
Recently, the burgeoning Trump team took credit for saving over 1,000 factory jobs from leaving Indiana for Mexico.
“Look forward to going to Indiana tomorrow in order to be with the great workers of Carrier. They will sell many air conditioners!” Mr. Trump said on November 30. He made an appearance in that state to help announce that company would keep some jobs there instead of moving all of them south.
A couple of days later, on December 2, Trump lashed out at another Indiana company for heading to the other side of the Rio Grande.
“Rexnord of Indiana is moving to Mexico and rather viciously firing all of its 300 workers. This is happening all over our country. No more!”
There are some scary, nutty people in this country. And, many of them post on NIT disguised as right wing, intelligent, patriots. They are none of the above.

You realize that Carrier sent 1000 jobs to Mexico and still got a huge tax break right? Doesn’t sound like “retribution or consequence” to me.
You realize that Trump kept a thousand more jobs from leaving for Mexico? What did Obama do except put in regulations that drive out business?
Yes, and you realize that “deal” goes against what he said he would do. Carrier still sent 1000 jobs to Mexico AND gave them a huge tax break. All to save 1000 jobs. It’s a publicity stunt that will ultimately hurt the economy in the long run. Just another example of Trump saying one thing, then doing another. No penalties for Carrier.
It is still a lot more than Obama did in eight years. All Obama did was increase the size of government at the expense of the taxpayers. Trump did what he said and you just can’t stand it. Get off the left wing sites and find the truth for a change.

About 99% of the numbers given to favor Obummer and his spoiled run at presidency are completely fabricated.. it would be much like saying “my car is the fastest, according to me and my stats”. Obummer and his low unemployment rate are easily smushed by fact checking.
