OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS – The seventh-seeded NIACC women’s basketball team faces 10th seeded Lake Michigan at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the opening round of the NJCAA Division II national tournament on the Johnson County CC campus.
No. 13 NIACC (22-10) advanced to its second national tournament in three season with an 83-80 victory over DMACC in the NJCAA Region XI final in Mason City last Saturday.
No. 15 Lake Michigan (26-5) topped Kalamazoo Valley CC 68-65 in its regional final last Saturday.
The winner of the NIACC/Lake Michigan contest faces either second-seed Illinois Central or 15th seeded Union County in the quarterfinals at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
The loser of the NIACC/Lake Michigan game faces the Illinois Central/Union County loser at 3 p.m. on Wednesday in the consolation bracket.
