WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 19-209, adopted September 3, 2019, this Council found and determined that certain areas located within the City are eligible and should be designated as an urban renewal area under Iowa law, and approved and adopted Amendment No. 8 to the Mason City Unified Urban Renewal Plan (the “Amendment No. 8” or “Amendment”) for the Mason City Unified Urban Renewal Area (the “Urban Renewal Area” or “Area”) described therein; and
WHEREAS, the Amendment approved and adopted by Resolution No. 19-209 included certain attachments that contained a scrivener’s error in the legal description of the land being removed from the Urban Renewal Area as the Amendment No. 8 Subarea (the “Amendment No. 8 Subarea” or “Amendment No. 8 Area”), incorrectly describing the Amendment No. 8 Subarea; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 19-11 regarding the general property taxes levied and collected with the Urban Renewal Area also contained a scrivener’s error in the legal description of the Amendment No. 8 Subarea and this amending ordinance is intended to correct said error; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MASON CITY, IOWA:
Section 1: That the legal description of the property located within the Amendment No. 8 Area of the Urban Renewal Area and set forth in Section 1(n) of Ordinance No. 19-11 is hereby corrected and amended to read as follows:

Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in effect after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
