MASON CITY A Garner man who is on probation for felony theft has pled guilty in another theft case and is now in jail serving his sentence.
Anthony James Fickel Schoneman, age 20, pled guilty to a charge brought by Mason City police of felony theft in the second degree in August and was given a deferred judgement. He was ordered to pay $2,608.69 in fines and restitution, serve 2 years of probation and submit a DNA sample. His unpaid balance has already been sent to a this party debt collector, records show.
However, Schoneman was charged in August with fifth degree theft, again by Mason City police. He was to face an October 27 non-jury trial; however, he entered a guilty plea. A judge sentenced him to 4 days in jail and to pay $185.00 in court costs and fees.
On September 8, Schoneman pled guilty to yet another charge of fifth degree theft, again brought by Mason City police. He was given two days in jail, which he already served. He was earlier charged in May by the MCPD with fifth degree theft, but that charge was dismissed.
