MASON CITY – A Rock Falls man was stopped driving his vehicle late Friday night and arrested for second offense drunk driving.
A Cerro Gordo deputy stopped a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Shawn Joseph Andrea of Rock Falls for an equipment violation at about 11:46 PM near the 1100 block of North Monroe Avenue. After an investigation, the deputy determined that Andrea was intoxicated and place him under arrest.
Andrea was taken to the county jail, booked on a charge of second offense operating while intoxicated, and released later Saturday.
Andrea was last arrested for operating while intoxicated in 2013, charged by the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office.
