THORNTON – A North Iowa man was caught drunk driving early Sunday.
Daniel Joseph Preteroti, age 34 of LeLand, was stopped by a Cerro Gordo deputy on January 25 at about 12:17 AM at the 18000 block of Eagle Avenue near Thornton, for speeding. After an investigation, the deputy determined that Preteroti was intoxicated and placed under arrest.
Preteroti was taken to the county jail. Soon thereafter, the arresting officer conducted a breath alcohol test on a male subject. The results were 0.095 and 0.093. Th legal limit in Iowa is 0.08.
Preteroti was soon released from jail pending a court date.
