MASON CITY – A two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Mason City sent a woman to the hospital.
The incident took place around 12:43 PM on Eisenhower Avenue and 9th SW.
Police told NIT that Georgia Smit was eastbound at 9th and South Eisenhower. Deborah Slusarczyk of Mason City was northbound on Eisenhower through this intersection. Smit’s vehicle struck Slusarczyk’s vehicle in the intersection. Smit was cited for Unsafe Entry onto Sidewalk or Roadway. Slusarczyk was transported to the Mercy Emergency Room by the Fire Department.
