WASHINGTON, D.C. – The White House is asking ordinary citizens to share how the impending “fiscal cliff” crisis would affect them.
It is said that if Congress does not extend the Bush-era tax cuts, many Americans would lose about $2,000 a year in their paychecks.
For 2011 and 2012, Americans saw a 2 percentage-point break hit paychecks regarding Social Security payroll taxes. Next year, the break is gone — unless Congress acts by December 31st.
If you’re making $1,000 a week, this tax increase means that you’d have $20 less per week in your pocket in 2013. Over 52 weeks, that is about $2,000.
Today, the White House said “President Obama is asking folks to add their voice to the debate and tell us what that money means to their families. And across the country, hundreds of thousands of people are speaking up. If you take the time to share your story, you’re going to get the attention of a White House staffer. That’s the bottom line — someone is going to take time to listen.”
At this time, Congress and the President are making little progress on solving the “fiscal cliff” dilemma.

Most TAXPAYERS would not be able to put $2,000.00 into an IRA for the year.

Well he and his entourage are headed to Hawaii again here in a few days. Gone for a few weeks this time. But according to website unless Congress (rebublicans) act he can’t go. Because it’s always their fault. All he wants is a nice 21 day Hawaii vacation! Check out the Hawaii themed golf bag he ordered for vaca. I bet that has a fancy price tag! Oh well.
