logo-iowa-state-patrolCLEAR LAKE – Four persons – including a four-month-old infant – were injured Tuesday in an auto accident on Clear Lake’s west side.

The accident occurred at about 11:44 AM Tuesday near the 2900 block of Highway 18 West in Clear Lake. Abby Zieman, age 22 of Meservey, was westbound in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Ashton Trenhaile, age 18 of Lake Mills, was eastbound at the same location when his 2000 Chrysler 300 crossed the center line and struck Zieman’s Jeep head-on. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway.

Injured in the accident were: Abby Zieman and Easton Zieman, age 4 months; Trenhaile, and 17-year-old Aunastashya Beebe of Forest City. All four were taken to Mercy Hospital in Mason City by ground ambulance.

An Iowa State Patrol report says that Beebe and Trenhaile were not wearing seat belts.

An investigation is on-going.

  1. As I said in a lot of my post when you get down to the root of things there is always the evil drug (booze). Im not trying to be insensitive or evil but its the one thing that’s involved in most accidents. Sucks when you know one of the parties and injuries occur. Sorry for the question. I did not mean to hurt any feelings.

    1. @Jone-He is not stupid for asking a reasonable question. You are stupid for being a troll and making this type of response.
