MASON CITY – A local man who seems to be struggling with alcohol issues was found passed out in a Mason City park by police Monday and arrested.

A Mason City police officer discovered 20-year-old Adrian Elton of Manly in the Ray Rorick / Big Blue Park Monday night at about midnight. The officer arrested Elton for an “alcohol violation”.

Elton was convicted of first offense operating while intoxicated in 2013 and assessed $2,559.38, but records show he has not made a payment yet on that balance.

On November 30, 2013, Elton was discovered to be drunk in public again by Mason City police. Records show that Elton was “too intoxicated to be see” by a judge that day. He later pled guilty. He was assessed $214.50 in fines and court costs, but records show he never made a payment yet on that balance.
