MASON CITY – A Mason City man is now in jail serving a sentence after pleading guilty to domestic assault causing injury.
Ely D. Sullivan, age 28, was charged with serious domestic assault by Mason City police in February. On April 9, 2014, he pled guilty to the charge of domestic assault causing bodily injury and was sentenced by Judge Annette Boehlje to two days in jail and a $315.00 fine and costs totaling $660.75. He was given a $50.00 per month payment plan. A one-year no-contact order was lifted in the case, as well.
Sullivan is set to be released on May 4.
