Arraignment hearing set for Rockford man accused of sex abuse

CHARLES CITY – A Rockford man accused of six sexual abuse charges involving a child has a hearing set for next month in Floyd county court.

Records show that 41-year-old Brent Michael Drees has an arraignment hearing set for May 19th.

Drees is charged with five counts of felony C third degree sexual abuse, one charge of felony B second degree sexual abuse and one charge of child endangerment. The alleged victim was between the ages of 12-13 years old. The alleged crimes took place in 2013, in March, July and August.

Drees, who worked in Mason City as a mechanic when he was arrested, remains jailed in the Floyd County Jail on $130,000 cash-only bond.
