Mason City man arrested at Surf Ballroom after fight

CLEAR LAKE – A Mason City man got too feisty at an 80’s tribute band concert in Clear Lake late Friday and was arrested.

According to police, 48-year-old David Michael Haag became intoxicated and caused a disturbance at the Surf Ballroom around midnight Friday during the Hairball concert.  Clear Lake police were called, and Cerro Gordo deputies also arrived to assist Surf Ballroom security, whom Haag was fighting with.

Deputies arrested Haag for public intoxication and transported him to the Cerro Gordo County Jail. He was later released.
