CHARLES CITY – A former Mason City man was arrested in Charles City last week on assault and weapons charges.
According to Charles City police, 20-year-old Charles Jerry Foster was arrested on January 8, 2014 by officers at the 400 block of 5th Avenue for serious assault and carrying weapons.
He was booked into the Floyd County Jail and later released on his own recognizance. He awaits an unknown court date.
Foster had a serious assault charge brought against him by Mason City police in 2012, which was later dismissed. Court costs were assessed to him, of which he still owes $125.00.
SUBJECT IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
