Clear Lake man arrested for delivery of meth

CLEAR LAKE – Clear Lake police made a drug arrest Sunday while investigating a domestic disturbance.

According to police, on Sunday, December 1st, 2013 at 7:15 pm, Clear Lake police officers were called to the 1000 block of South 3rd Street for a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and while investigating found 52 year old Tom Simmer to be in possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

Simmer was arrested and transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a class C felony; possession of marijuana, an aggravated misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

A deputy from the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office assisted Clear Lake officers with the call.

Simmer is being held in the Cerro Gordo COunty Jail on $5,000 cash bond with 10% required for release. He has a court date set for December 6th.
