  1. LVS, I am sure she already recieves every type assistance there is. That is how she can afford to drink and do drugs at 6.00AM, she does not have to worry about food, cloths, shelter, heat, etc. you all take care of that for her.

    1. @Sad but true-I have no problem with her being convicted if she is guilty. My issue is not giving a “work” permit so they can go to work. The key word there is work. The idea being if they work they won’t need or be eligible for welfare.

    2. This is rich. More jealous complainers jealous that the little people may get some type of assistance.

But say nothing about spending one million times that in Iraq or bailing out banks to the tune of #100 billion. It’s not about money to the complainers, it’s about jealousy.

  2. Great idea refusing the BREATHELIZER. Now instead of 30 days until you can get a work permit and a 6 month suspension you get 1 year of hard suspension with no work permit.

    1. @Jeff Roberts-If they passed that, they are absolutely STUPID. How in the HELL would you want stop them from going to work or to lose their jobs. Then they end up on welfare and food stamps because they can’t get to work.

      1. @Peter L.- I hear you, but this is like cutting off your nose to spite your face. I understand the need to be punished for breaking the law, but this not only hurts them it hurts their family’s and the general public. It makes no sense, although I have said for years it is all about the money now. It is no longer about correction and it is stupid. Most of these people will drive anyway and they will do it with no insurance or license. If they hit you or me it will be on us to pay for everything. You can not sue as they have nothing to take.

        1. @LVS-It’s a “feel good” law. No way for them to drive, so no way can they work to make a living or pay off their fine. Similar to laws preventing people from taking fingernail clippers or metal combs on airplanes. A nonsense law which only makes the idiots who passed it pat themselves on the back saying, “We did something about this threat”. They have no way to confront the problem, so they make up laws to give the allusion they are actually doing something.

        2. @anonymous-I am always in favor of obeying the laws because as a society we must live together. But, this is absolutely STUPID to have a law like this. I wonder if this is something the D.O.T. did on their own. They have been making up their own laws for years.

  3. What do you mean drugs and booze? As if booze isn’t a drug? That’s like saying candy bars and Snickers.

Let me educate: Alcohol is a DRUG. Cannabis is an herb like coffee. North Korea calls it a vegetable.
We don’t call coffee drugs and shouldn’t call herb drugs. It’s biased, discriminatory and sends the wrong hateful message. The 30 year “war on some drugs” has gone on long enough. Just stop it already!

    1. They are both drugs. You can debate whether or not either of them should be legal, but they both alter the user’s state of mind and decision making skills. Alcohol can be a fuel, just like hemp can be made into a t-shirt, paper or a million other things. An argument can be made that both are “natural” and “come from the earth”, that doesn’t mean they can’t be abused or have adverse effects.

      1. So why allow one to be legal and the other to be illegal. to me if an argument can be made for either than it should be an all or nothing mindset. either they are both legal or illegal no more allowing the government to pick and choose

        1. Exactly, we don’t see the drug warriors calling for alcohol prohibition do we?

What a pant load. They just want you to choose their drugs.

    2. Sorry old sock, but it is a drug, and illegal drug. Controlled substance.

If you don’t like that fact, or the laws, change them. Better yet, there are a lot of places in the world where you can go and have your drugs all day long.

I hear Sierra Leon is nice this time of year.
