NIACC soccer team wins, 6-0

niacc_trojans_logoMASON CITY – Sophomore Leo Driscoll (Huddersfield, UK) scored three goals and had two assists to lead NIACC to a 6-0 victory over Indian Hills on a chilly Wednesday afternoon at the NIACC soccer field.

NIACC (4-12 overall, 3-8 in the ICCAC) led 4-0 at the half and added two goals in the second half.

The six goals was the highest output of the season for the Trojans and is the most in Jonathan Platt’s two seasons as coach of the Trojans.

Freshman Skyler Capelle (Waterloo, Ia.) scored NIACC’s first goal at the 26:49 mark of the first half. Driscoll scored the next three goals for the Trojans.

Sophomore Tim Roberts (Sydney, Australia) scored the Trojans’ first goal of the second half and sophomore Nako Omot (Worthington, Minn.) completed the scoring for the Trojans.

NIACC completes its regular season Saturday at home against Scott Community College.
