Sievertsen and Farley Honored By MVFC And CSM

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Senior placekicker Tyler Sievertsen has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, it was announced by the MVFC this week.

Linebacker Jake Farley was also honored today by being named the College Sports Madness MVFC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Sievertsen converted a career high four field goals on Saturday on the way to helping the Panthers to its third win of the season. He knocked in a 28, 25, 31 and 27-yard field goal, racking up 14 total points with a pair of extra points as well.

Farley notched a season-high 13 tackles against Northern Colorado, finishing with 10-plus tackles for the third time this season. The junior has now had 10-plus tackles in four consecutive games, dating back to the game against Missouri State to close last season.

UNI will return to action Sat., Sept. 28, when it takes on McNeese State inside the UNI-Dome. The game is set to kickoff at 4 p.m.
