  1. Hope someone else decides to run. Other the book will close out another chapter and win reelection.

  2. I really think your trying too hard to make a story out of this exploratory committee thing. I am not a fan of Bookmeyer by any means but unless we get someone that throws thier hat in the ring that has some real standing in the community he will win again if he chooses to run. Wich of course he will do.

  3. This interview was fine. But, it seemed to show that Quinn would be a lame candidate, rather than a contender. That is too bad…

  4. I think Heidi Marquardt was Heidi Heimbuch. She was on his first committee. She recently married. She is an engineer for one of our local large businesses– but I cannot remember if it is Curries or which one….

    1. “Heidi Marquardt” wasn’t on Skipper’s list. He wrote Heidi Marquart. Does anyone know if that person even exists?

      1. Heidi is married to Matt marquadts brother. She is a great person. Needless to say she is a supporter for Bookmeyer. She was on his campaign committee during the last election and looks like this one also. Probably some good debates when they get together.

  5. My husband and I are formerly of Mason City, long-time residents of Forest Park. We began following this site earlier this year so we could get more of the story. Glad we did. We had no idea there were so many problems with our hometown, especially with how the town is run. We love Mason City and hope its problems can get straightened out.

  6. This wasn’t an interview, this was a B***H session about the Mayor. Leading questions and interjecting your opinion during the conversation is NOT a interview IMHO.
